to people who've peeped this and mad men, which do you like better?
MAN… probably this cause it’s more concise a story. But if Mad Men would have been 4 seasons and out it’d be a harder debate. Before this show, Mad Men was my personal second favorite show of all time behind the wire. I can understand people ranking Sopranos higher but i get annoyed when people argue Breaking Bad was better. Like, REALLY annoyed.

You can argue, being a period piece on AMC, that Mad Men had a bigger degree of difficulty than Succession. Both have elite performances. I think succession might have the nod there. Mad Men was carried by Don and Peggy performance wise.

Now I’m imagining what Mad Men would have been like on HBO and :ohlawd: the amount of bytches we woulda really got to see Don run through…

Greg whole arc is literally learning the world and the business tactics from Tom. Sort of like a older colleague taking a newbie under his wing. Tom is one of the only competent non delusional people among the cast along with Gerri.
Greg has the perfect opportunity to snake Tom and fire him or ride with him to the top using his knowledge

He has a intro with the president and is friendly with Mattson

I'm not sure which way the show is going but I see the setup highlighting Tom and Gregs friendship this season either ending badly or pushing both of them to snake everyone and grab power

Kendall Roman and Shiv all showcased how their fathers behavior has poisoned them all and trapped them in a cycle that they reflect to their own loved ones. No W can come out of that imo at least thematically for this type of show

I’m confused about the Rava hate, she just didn’t want to have her kids caught up in all the protest stuff and the whole spectacle that Logan’s funeral was. Did she do something else or just not taking the kids to the shytshow?

Only person I’m rooting for at this point is Greg, he gives me at least one great line each episode and he has come so far since season 1, he is doing everything he can to make sure all the power players know who is no matter how thirsty he might look at times
Her intentions were probably pure. But springing it on him an hour before the funeral is shytty. There’s no way to cut around it.

I read somebody somewhere (maybe here?) guessing that Greg would become puppet CEO and in a call back to the episode where Tom was showing Greg how to fire people, Mattson would have Greg fire Tom directly. Which would be hilarious to me.

She told him her worries about the rhetoric the network was spewing, how his daughter was attacked and he still chose the business over his children. And that's not even taking into consideration that he's basically a non entity in his kids life and he's a drug addict that couldn't be trusted to be around his kids at one point. Ken's lucky she didn't show up at the funeral to blow up his spot while he was giving the eulogy.

There's 3 guarantees in this life, death, taxes, and the coli hating female characters

:russ: You should look at the reddit sub of this show it worst:mjpls: female characters who go against the male protagonist always get hate on by the fandom for example look at breaking bad skyler if you want a shining example of that.

let’s say mattson gets waystar and sets up greg to be ceo, wouldn’t the shareholders still need to vote on that?

or do shareholder meetings not exist after mattson buys the company? if i remember correctly , gojo is public so would gojos shareholders vote on ceo??

Come on dog. I don’t even hate her character. She’s definitely doing what she feels is best for her and her children. But telling him the day of, while he was on his way to bury his father, that his kids won’t be there, was shytty. You probably do it 10/10 times. But you gotta understand what you’re doing is going to hurt the other person. Doing bad things for good reasons doesn’t not make them bad things.

Kendall's already hurt his kids by not caring about their safety in the presence of his father. His brown child was harassed by a guy wearing the shirt of one of the right-wing commentators he has on his network, and he went and let Roman call the presidential election for the neo-Nazi hours later.

Who gives a fukk if Kendall is hurt? He's hurt his whole family time and time again by being a drug-addled loser who cares more about running a shytty right-wing company full of commentators that he's hired to talk shyt about people like his daughter than he's ever been shown to care about his kids or his now ex-wife. Why do Kendall's feelings matter more than any of their feelings?
