It is weird though to see Logan being so weak with the negotiations. We've seen multiple times where he broke up agreements because he thought the other side was to accepting of the terms. He's never been afraid of going back to the table even if it would blow up the deal. In this case he's just being so agreeable that I don't think Shiv and Ken and mainly Sandy and the other guy (forgot his name) are all seeing a change with Logan that speaks to something else likely going on.
I think when it comes to Sandy and Stewie, they really do want to wring more cash out of the sale.

For Shiv, she's willing to stall or blow up the deal to get back at her pops for giving Tom that legal advice.

For Kendall, he immediately flipped once Matsson talked shyt to him because, like someone else said earlier in this thread, he's wrapped up in not looking like a bytch and being pushed around. A bonus is that it'll piss off his pops.

It just happens that their interests all align around stalling the deal to ask for more money.

Roman might be going right back to Logan, but in his defense in this case, he can see Shiv and Kendall fukking up and not understanding the situation. It's not hard for Logan to get him back into the company at this point because beyond the hold that Logan has on Roman, Roman sees that the only person who understands the situation in the first place is Logan.

yeah I took “buck” as a “stud” but it’s possible…I think it’s up for interpretation tho
Ok but he tells us right then, he can live without love and if she dont come back, ok. Theres no malice in the sentence.

If he was like “shes out with some black #%%#%%” all mad, sure. Maybe i could see the connotation. But even that dont make sense as the way yall lookin at it, that type of “buck” means something totally different.

But he wasnt mad. He was dissapointed and pondering if she didnt wanna marry an old man whos buying her off and wanted someone younger. So why make a racial comment when you arent mad?

Young buck is pretty standard slang to describe a younger man. Like young blood. My unclep used to tease my aunt when she got divorced to “get yaself a young buck”.

Only on here have i seen it labled to mean that type of “buck”. I mean, is that what yall think gunits young buck was getting at?

uh ok…so he’s really calling his bluff like shiv is
There’s no strategy in this for Shiv. It’s purely to fukk her father. She’s pure emotion. I can’t read Kendall though. Part of me thinks Kendall still wants his “birthright” like in season 1.

yeah him switching up immediately after speaking to dude is what threw me off…I interpreted it as him being self-destructive in his need to desperately fukk over his father…but after reading some other posts in here then I thought maybe he sensed something in the other dude that made him think he was bluffing and they actually could squeeze more money out of him…shiv mentioned too that she felt he was bluffing but she was just saying that w/o actually reading him and as you said was immediately motivated by the chance to fukk over the pops

Yeah, I'm leaning towards Roman here :hubie:. Of course he's the abused puppy that doesn't want to get hit again, but he was the only one making sense about sticking with the deal and doing their own thing. When you're getting billions, possibly blowing everything up over $100 million doesn't seem right.

Shiv was shady from the jump talking to Sandy and didn't like the move Tom pulled w/the divorce.
Kendall was on point, until he got the call from Lukas and felt some type of way.

Connor just wanted to sing karoke like they do in the movies :mjcry:. I know his brothers said he couldn't do better than Willow, but at least get someone who doesn't have to submit themselves to getting married to you :picard:. At least Logan's women know how to play the part, I would have sent her back to hooking and writing terrible plays :camby:.
Logan is a man that commands respect though. Of course women wouldn’t mind falling in line. Connor is aggressively stupid.

Funniest moment of the night to me was Shiv having Tom’s full name in her phone. That’s such a killer little touch right there.

It was also hilarious that they wanted to sing Karaoke like the common folk… without actually being around the common folk.

I saw it as kendall for the 4th/5th time gets talked down to on some lil boy shyt, and tries to fukk that person with lil disregard about anything else.

Did it to the asian guy in ep 1 who said he invited him to hen house. Only to play friends to get all his info and fire everyone.

Did it to his father when his dad said he isnt a killer, and instead of taking blame reversed it at the news conference.

Did it to the girls he tried to invest in when they said they didnt wanna associate with him at yhe ug party so he put in the news they were junkies putting the money in their arm.

Theres more. Expect this outcome.
Hmm. Good point. Forgot about this aspect of him too.

the show did establish all the way back in season 1 that this family consists of racist scumbags. so its def possible racism was in play, but not directly confirmed.

For example, he's the only one who realized that they were massively overpaying for Pierce.
He also is the only one who realizes that, from a cold logical point of view, if the just take their BILLIONS of dollars from the Gojo deal they can start their own business and make ridiculous amounts of money for the rest of their lives. But Shiv and Kendal are too emotionally invested in 'WINNING' against their father.

He also sniffed out the offer from the middle eastern guy was bs too

He isn't perfect but he can read other people in that line of work better than his siblings

yeah when I first heard the line I didn’t take it as having any racial undertones but after reading @OnFleekTing’s post and taking the characters into consideration, I wouldn’t rule it out entirely

Watching the series over....if the three had just gone under Kendall in S1E1, they would've avoided everything :russ:

If Roman or Shiv wanted to scheme to become CEO later on down the line, they could've.
Easily.
