For example, he's the only one who realized that they were massively overpaying for Pierce.
He also is the only one who realizes that, from a cold logical point of view, if the just take their BILLIONS of dollars from the Gojo deal they can start their own business and make ridiculous amounts of money for the rest of their lives. But Shiv and Kendal are too emotionally invested in 'WINNING' against their father.

It's hard as hell and takes all kinds of money to establish a new brand not to mention all establishing relationships, building infrastructure. Things that take a lot of money and a lot of time and isn't a guarantee to make money. Also in the time it takes to build the new company they may no longer be a hot topic in the news so that by the time they actually get their feet up under them no one gives a fukk about them and they tank.

By taking an existing entity you can at least forgo a lot of the growing pains and use what's already there and build upon that or change it as you please and hit the ground running while their name is still hot in the news with people wondering what their next move is.

Not saying I agree with the purchase but just don't think it's as cut and dry as you're making it in regards to Roman.

Agreed, but he was already on it about 10B being an overpay. The only reason Shiv agreed with him this week was because she had an ulterior motive about getting back at her dad for helping Tom tie up all those divorce lawyers.

Watching Kendall and Shiv lose Roman because they couldn't leave well enough alone and just take the win they got over Logan by overpaying for Pierce was great TV. Roman immediately knew that 10B for Pierce was an overpay and that Matsson was serious about walking away, but Kendall and Shiv didn't recognize or completely ignored those things.

It is weird though to see Logan being so weak with the negotiations. We've seen multiple times where he broke up agreements because he thought the other side was to accepting of the terms. He's never been afraid of going back to the table even if it would blow up the deal. In this case he's just being so agreeable that I don't think Shiv and Ken and mainly Sandy and the other guy (forgot his name) are all seeing a change with Logan that speaks to something else likely going on.
