RIP Future Gohan
Facts people just be going to college not thinking bout money at all.In whatever biden does. We need to have a dedicated class first semester of college or before the semester starts that goes into depth on how loans will be working as well as employment outlook based on your enrolled major. Mandatory for the student + one parent if the student is under the age of 22. Specifics can be altered like the parents portion is just a quick online thing or something.
I’m a perfect world we can be like “oh their technically adults but the reality is they need something like this (just like with professional sports league doing financial literacy classes).
I used to be a psych major and until I decided to do a research report for my mandatory stats class on employment opportunities segmented by majors I hit the .
Switched majors the second I typed that bytch up
Before I applied I looked up jobs that make the most money and chose my major based on what I seemed to like most from that list.
But I knew plenty of people who did the opposite. They looked up majors and chose based on what they liked most then thought they'd just get whatever job there is for their major
Like this ain't vocational school some of these majors have no job market lmao
Got philosophy majors working at burger King right now thinking about the utilitarianism in their choice to help all the other customers in line or stop what they are doing and go help the man who need help with the soda machine cuz it ran out of sprite
