Things like interest, rent, insurance premiums, subscriptions, transaction/ service fees etc. can all be placed under the umbrella of "economic rent". Economic rent is unproductive income. "The money landlords make in their sleep". The difference between input cost and selling price. Most of America's wealth generation falls in this category. It's what the service economy runs on. Every cent of bank profit falls into this category.

Economic rent is parasitic in nature. It's called usury in the Bible. It's the essence of private banking. The opposite is public banking, aka government banking. The government has to be strong enough to fight off the oligarch/landlord class.

The department’s plan contemplates that all types of federal student loans would be eligible for loan forgiveness, including Grad and Parent PLUS loans as well as federal loans owned by private entities. And it also suggests that borrowers who ever received a Pell grant, financial assistance for low-income families, could receive an additional amount of loan forgiveness.

Biden is considering using executive action to provide $10,000 of debt relief per borrower, but White House deliberations over the issue have stretched on for months without resolution. After initially promising in April a decision on the issue within a “couple of weeks,” Biden has since said he plans to decide by the end of August when the moratorium on loan payments is set to expire.

:ohhh: I bet this would make the stock market rally too

Brehs I have two federal loans one subsidized and unsubsidized. I was on studentaid.gov to consolidate but should I wait since everything is at 0% and repayment isn’t required?
