If he did this it would be somuch restrictions and eligiblity requirements that only a few people will benefit from it.
as there should be

why the fukk should we forgive the entire balance of some future doctor or lawyer who just graduated last year, and made 6 months of payments :mindblown: and people wonder why theres pushback to this?

this needs to be reform with qualifications, not blanket forgiveness. like:

-no more interest
-if you've paid for 10 years, you're done
-if you've paid 30 grand already, you're done

i dont support "wipe everyones debt, no matter the circumstance". its a bullshyt ass policy

:mjlol: man really knows how to let people down huh? But If he does the 10k that's what he campaigned on so it's fair tho I think he should meet people in the middle with 25k
Even if he does the $10K loan forgiveness, that will clear the balance for 12 million people :ehh::yeshrug:

It’s not just future doctor and lawyers

college degree earning earning potential still is vastly superior to no degree holders

There’s plenty of middle ground that will make most people happy. No more interest is essential imo. I’d be totally fine with repaying the full balance of what I owed if there wasn’t interest accruing.

The people and government itself is the reason why college is so expensive :mjlol:

As soon as the government started guaranteeing student loans colleges starting competing with each other and the price started going up , the cost of college barley rose anything for decades before this happen.

And so many people get pointless degrees in fields that have no jobs or money , then they are either screwed or go back and get another degree or masters :russ:

Which is also the reason a college degree is required for so many jobs when its not necessary at all

Your hospital doesn’t have a loan forgiveness or tuition reimbursement program :jbhmm:
Nothing of significance. I haven’t heard of anything worthwhile for my colleagues at other places either. For me it was either PSLF or military :wow: Honestly they probably don’t care cause they get a lot of people on visas but that’s a topic for another thread.
