There’s plenty of middle ground that will make most people happy. No more interest is essential imo. I’d be totally fine with repaying the full balance of what I owed if there wasn’t interest accruing.

As soon as the government started guaranteeing student loans colleges starting competing with each other and the price started going up , the cost of college barley rose anything for decades before this happen.


And so many people get pointless degrees in fields that have no jobs or money , then they are either screwed or go back and get another degree or masters


Which is also the reason a college degree is required for so many jobs when its not necessary at all

Nothing of significance. I haven’t heard of anything worthwhile for my colleagues at other places either. For me it was either PSLF or military Honestly they probably don’t care cause they get a lot of people on visas but that’s a topic for another thread.
