hoe ass 8th circuit wasjust stalling for something like this
But apparently this ruling lacks standing for the millionth time
EDIT: where we go from here
So apparently ppl are saying that the judges plan to uphold the decision that it’s unconstitutional. If that happens it goes to the Supreme Court and prolly gets struck down. They pretty much bypassed the standing defenseAppeals court we go
Smh
I wouldn’t say that cause think about it…So apparently ppl are saying that the judges plan to uphold the decision that it’s unconstitutional. If that happens it goes to the Supreme Court and prolly gets struck down. They pretty much bypassed the standing defense
I guess I was reading too many doomer posts on Reddit. Objectively, how do u see this going?I wouldn’t say that cause think about it…
These people don’t have standing or harm. This opens the door to taxpayers being able to sue for anything they don’t like which will be a legal shyt show.
It’s why Amy Coney Barrett didn’t even hear 2 of the other cases they put to her on the shadow docket

I see your argument about precedent if this is struck down, but with these judges, won’t all cases that go like this, go thru the same process where it ends up in the SC, where they can rule however they want, based on ideology?
Sorry can I explain this part? Not sure what u mean hereNo idea. If it gets to SCOTUS, I’m not even sure they’d strike it all down.
I think Biden will have to use a different legal authority.
The 1965 Higher Education Act and explicitly say Congress granted compromise and settlement authority to not collect the debt per borrower.
The legal authority Biden used was the 2003 Heroes Act which said that government issued loans can be discharged in an emergency.Sorry can I explain this part? Not sure what u mean here
Didn’t ACB deny requests to challenge loan forgiveness like last week?No idea. If it gets to SCOTUS, I’m not even sure they’d strike it all down.
