I'm inclined to agree. If anything I think they did a good job of making it look like they had things planned from the start. I'm sort of skeptical that they actually did have a huge plan from the start, but they've done a good job of tying together most of the loose ends of the mythology stuff (that honestly I thought was fairly confusing and disjointed before this season).Reading some of the criticisms, I think it's kind of silly to nitpick some of the plot holes in a show like this... The show is intended to be a 80s nostalgia sci-fi/horror genre with over the top 80s cliches baked in. Don't you think it's kind of stupid to nitpick why Veccna let Nancy go but ignore the fact a 50 year old stay at home mom, a conspiracy theorist and a cop were able to infiltrate a gulag, fight off monsters and then fly from Russia to US in a stolen helicopter? It's just dumb and you're sabotaging your own ability to like the show because you're treating this purposely campy show the same as a more seriously taken show... Just sit back and enjoy, turn off your analytical "realism-seeking" part of your brain and enjoy it for what it is, it's supposed to be a fun 80s love letter

There's always gonna be plot holes on a show like this too. The big thing I ask is that shows like this just stick to the internal logic of the world they've created. Within the context of how this show presents itself, none of the plot holes seem too ridiculous to me. The big one for me for this season is
Vecna telling Nancy to tell Eleven "everything" seemed kind of silly. I feel like that was just a way to end season 4a on a cliffhanger with Nancy being possessed without them actually having to kill her. I don't even think she ended up having to tell Eleven anything lol.
You saying this like he’s still just a regular human being that doesn’t have powers and literally controls the entire upside down and didn’t just cause a massive rift that split the town in half and killed 30 plus…The poster earlier who said that they basically turned the main Villain into a high school shooter with telekinesis was absolutely correct. Up until season 4 the main villain was supposed to be some ancient eldritch horror from another dimension and then they suddenly flipped it all around without any kind of warning or build up.
The fact that stranger things was supposed to be a one season thing that was stretched out due to popularity is showing.
EXACTLY!!! You could clearly see the difference in how the Upside Down looked prior to Vecna and what it became once the Hive mind connected to him. Ppl keep harping on the mind flayer but I don't think it becomes the evil, violent, soul destroying entity without it's connection to Vecna. He's the spark.I think it's dope that the upside down didn't seem like a fukked up place at all. Just kind of a different dimension. Demogorgans (sp?) running around freely, and the atmosphere didn't look as red and menacing, and the particles that made up the mind flayer just looked kind of neutral up in the sky. Vecna talked all this shyt about how it was "untouched/undisturbed by mankind" and then he went and did exactly that, and fukked with the beings in the upside down as well. It didn't even look like Hawkins. It looks like he perverted it and made it that way.
You mean Will? He's not falling for Eleven. He's in love with Mike, they hinted at Will being gay for the longestOh for fukks sake the little brother falling for Eleven is so lame.
I'm so tired of looking at his pathetic face. Get over it dude she's not yours. Got damn
This dude starts all his posts off with a greetingHi
I finished season 4 and loved it! The scene with Lucas being inconsolable had me losing it too . I had to pause for a bit. Then El coming in and crying too, I started crying again. It took me out of the emotion a little when it was clear Max was being brought back by El somehow. I'm not mad at it though. I'm thinking it'll be a major plot point next season. I feel bad for Eddie as he was a cool addition. Jason's actor was great; I couldn't stand him. I also like how the writers still incorporated some humor in tense situations. I'm ready for season 5!
