where you get your roms :jbhmm:

Gonna get one of these soon.

Anybody have any experience with emulation on these?

Can it do more modern systems like switch?

Hate the switch hardware but would be cool to play the couple switch games i want to play with better performance.

Also i’m not to bothered by graphics/resolution but can it play most games at 60fps?
The games that I tested:

Metroid Dread: 60FPS

Smash Bros: Can't remember, but it spikes every second

Astral chain: 30-60FPS

BOTW: 10-20FPS

Bayonetta 2: 45-60FPS

What emulator you use for switch?

none…cuz I couldn’t find switch ROMs…but there was one posted in here I was planning on using…it’s a program that installs multiple emulators…I’ll see if I can find the post/vid

*edit*

@MikelArteta

Emu deck is a software for steam deck that downloads and configures multiple emulators for your steam deck

This guy put out a guide and video to help people getting started. I followed and it’s pretty straightforward

:whew: Now I have everything on it

Okay. I've got it up and running. Signed into my Steam Account, and downloaded Lumines (which, apparently I'd already bough a couple years back), and am playing it just to get my bearings.

A few things:
- This thing is beautiful to look at. Such a unique design.
- I went with the 512gb model, so it comes with the "premium etched anti-glare display," and it looks really nice!
- How is this thing so big, but still SO much easier to hold than the Switch Lite (a console that I did have but returned)?! I love holding this thing!

Finally, is anybody else like me...in that you have the same damn game installed on multiple devices? I swear I've had Sonic Adventure 2: Battles on my old laptop (via emulation), my android phone, that I had a few years back (via emulation), my RP3 that I have now...and on my Steam Deck from downloading it in Steam. I guess I'll give it another play through on my SD. Love that game! Also, I bought a screen protector, but I'm not sure if I want to instill it, or if I even need to. I'll figure that out eventually...
