finally saw the movie and it had that marvel stimilous package. I freaking loved the movie, every part of it.

I liked how marvel kept it real with peter being spider-man, him trashing places when he was web slinging was showing the audience that he wasn't perfect like in the previous movies.

Also the clean up of all the wreckage was a nice touch, you don't see that in ciomic book movies the after math and how it's dealt with. it's these kinds of small things marvel get so right.

Keaton did a good job playing vulture and even tho he was a bad guy I was hoping spider-man would go easy on him (that's the batman I grew up with spidey )

Didn't realise Karen was voiced by Jennifer connolly, wife of Paul Bettany who plays Vision/voiced Jarvis. Marvel.

I agree with recon mode. Prolly should keep Karen though. In comics we had text boxes and thought bubbles for Spider-Man who was always internally or externally monologing. In the movies you can't do that so they either go with cheesy voiceover narration or they talk to themselves for half the movie. Or in Toby Maquires case you just have Spider-Man being quiet every time he's in the suit. This solves that problem without being as forced or corny. Only so many quips you can make to unconscious criminals that you just beat up before it starts to get tiresome.

Although they could just give him a Bluetooth and have him talk to Ned alot as an alternative.

They're good right now. If JL does similar numbers to Wonder Woman and gets similar critic and fan praise I feel like they're happy with that

I disagree man. But I also didn't think the avengers making a billion or not qualified it as a failure. The shyt exceeded expectations by a lot. It was a tsunami much like Jurassic world. Make a good movie and that's all I care about

BOX OFFICE: ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Swings Past ‘Batman v Superman’

Spider-Man: Homecoming has officially swung past last year’s superhero epic Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice at the domestic box office.

Sony and Marvel’s heartwarming and fresh take on the web-slinger follows Tom Holland as Peter Parker balancing his dual identity of a budding superhero while navigating the everyday life of a teenager in high school. The film which is still in theaters has now managed to earn a $330 million surpassing Batman v Superman’s box office run by $1,667.

The film which draws inspiration from Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man run and teen comedy’s of the past has also managed to now become the 50th top grossing film of all time at the domestic box office.

I don't really see the big deal in it toppling Bvs domestically but I am shocked how close it is to surpassing it globally. I don't know where this movie got it's legs from but when it does beat batman vs superman that will be really embarrassing for DC/WB

They staggered the releases in foreign countries way more than usual. Like every couple of weeks it got a new release somewhere with China being the last and that was just a couple of weeks ago.
