I just seen it

It was cool... Not my favorite Spidey movie but it was a good start.

I guess because I can't relate to a HS Spiderman anymore. Some shyt he did was mad cringey and awkward.

Like he was really clumsy and goofy... Kinda kiddie but he was a kid so it makes sense. This was definitely for kids though.

Zendaya looked like she never bathed in the movie... At all. Not once.

Tony was cool for what he was in ot for. Look forward to more movies with the entire team together.

Michael Keaton was a great villain though. I thought I was going to hate the mech vulture suit but for what it was it was cool.

I didn't know homie was playing Shocker, I expected the dude in the beginning. Hopefully next time they have a more drawn out Shocker and I believe that old dude was supposed to be Scorpion.

I cant imagine how The Defenders won't be able to run into Spiderman at any point. NY is huge but still... Theres like 6 superheroes in a block radius :mjlol:

just seen it as well...my mother declared it her favorite Spider-man instantly. I'll let it marinate for a minute lol, but i understand the why people feel that way.

Holland and the overall feel of the movie was superb. A great entry for a new Spider-man...

not that i had any doubt but Keaton :myman: whenever he spoke :whoo:

This movie hurt me by the two hours I wasted watching it. This Holland man had the potential to be the goat Spider-man but he failed. They need to bring back Tobey on some shattered worlds shyt. The cast was too POC this was the most non-white marvel movie since Blade. The dialogue was terrible. The Iron man scenes were terrible. The DC part could have been in the Empire State Building but maybe not because of 9/11. Why didn't he kill the Vulture? It was too self aware at times. and just many more most importantly it didn't feel like New York in the movie and that's a major part of Spider-man

What kind of black perosn complains that there was too many POC? :mjpls:

Just got done watching this, wasn't bad by any stretch, was very entertained but as someone that grew up on Fox kids this wasn't my spiderman. Spiderman2 still remains the only great and close to legit spiderman movie.

I am the biggest diversity advocate but they took it too far. Flash for instance did not need to be a towel head. And I am sorry but his friend should've been a cac also. It would also have been better if the lead chick was caucasian too all the while

the ugly duckling is who he eventually falls for,its the perfect dichotomy.

When news of casting was announced I wondered how they would fit all those names. As it turns out most of the parts were between useless and cameo I mean what was the point if Burress

Keaton, May and Holland were on point I didn't even mind stark for once but the less Hogan the better

Biggest problems tho was
the start, I get we are social media crazy and that is what kids do but to start off with vulture's Saturday morning cartoon intro then transition to Peters vlogs was rough. It also dragged on and Holland seemed more annoying than endearing

The final battle, what the hell was that? "Its going to explode" "I am trying to save you" bang! It explodes but we don't see it and the damn thing doesn't kill him anyway, such a nothing ending.

Lastly the whole movie (other than casting) did not take any chances creatively. This was suppose to be the Spiderman marvel cultivated but I did not feel the magic and without it what was the point
A high 6 just ain't good enough

Oh yeah... I hated his sidekick... Like I REALLY hated his sidekick.

And about Zendaya again... It looked like she didn't wax her mustache. thats how homely she looked :mjlol:.. That whole "mad at the world for no reason" shyt is cringey and wack.

But again, it wasn't a bad movie. Villains were cool, fight scenes were pretty good, etc., but mostly everything outside of PP wearing the Spiderman suit was cringey and too "high school nerd being shy around girls" for me.

When he tried to be cool in the elevator...:hhh: That shyt was far from funny and him being scared to do shyt was crazy (why tf would Spiderman be scared of falling off a building :gucci:)

And Spider senses were non-existent at all in this

And this movies Flash was :hhh:... He was that bytchass bully that anyone could whip his ass in HS but somehow he was "cool" here.

I actually had no problems with the diversity, just more so with the "kiddieness" of the movie... But I mean Parker was 15 in this. They just kinda made him annoying more than likable to me BUT I'm sure most teenagers are pretty annoying to me now, so:yeshrug:.

Like the best parts of the movie to me were the older people

Or maybe its the market right now. Casual fan's wont rush to see this. The last Spiderman movie dropped 3 years ago. This is another reboot. It's like Fantastic 4 dropping next year. It don't matter who they got to direct and act in it, casual fans aren't gonna be pressed to go see it.

If Marvel did everything they good to not show traditional scenes from the previous films and they also had lower expectations for the opening week. The important thing is Spidey is currently in the MCU. The 2nd one will do bigger numbers coming off the heels of Infinity War.

And I honestly think they pushed BP back in favor of Spiderman just to make sure Sony didn't renege on their agreement :mjpls:

:mjlol:

:pachaha:

I saw the film.....even for a Spider-Man story, Peter took too many Ls
That's how I felt watching it. Spider-Man was a complete loser fukk-up in his own movie. Even the final battle with the Vulture only turned out well because The Vulture didn't realize how volatile that Chitauri stone thing was. Spider-Man had jack shyt to do with defeating him.
Holland was really good but the movie as a whole was not all that special.

I'm waiting until home release to watch again.

I like to have some "distance" between viewings because I like time to process everything. A lot of times my 2nd viewing can drastically change my opinion of a film.

I know @MartyMcFly probably already seen it 500 times at this point :heh:
