@Still FloW you should have taken that ban bet with @Jards about this making a billion
This movie hurt me by the two hours I wasted watching it. This Holland man had the potential to be the goat Spider-man but he failed. They need to bring back Tobey on some shattered worlds shyt. The cast was too POC this was the most non-white marvel movie since Blade. The dialogue was terrible. The Iron man scenes were terrible. The DC part could have been in the Empire State Building but maybe not because of 9/11. Why didn't he kill the Vulture? It was too self aware at times. and just many more most importantly it didn't feel like New York in the movie and that's a major part of Spider-man
What kind of black perosn complains that there was too many POC?
Just got done watching this, wasn't bad by any stretch, was very entertained but as someone that grew up on Fox kids this wasn't my spiderman. Spiderman2 still remains the only great and close to legit spiderman movie.
I am the biggest diversity advocate but they took it too far. Flash for instance did not need to be a towel head. And I am sorry but his friend should've been a cac also. It would also have been better if the lead chick was caucasian too all the whilethe ugly duckling is who he eventually falls for,its the perfect dichotomy.MJ
When news of casting was announced I wondered how they would fit all those names. As it turns out most of the parts were between useless and cameo I mean what was the point if Burress
Keaton, May and Holland were on point I didn't even mind stark for once but the less Hogan the better
Biggest problems tho wasA high 6 just ain't good enoughthe start, I get we are social media crazy and that is what kids do but to start off with vulture's Saturday morning cartoon intro then transition to Peters vlogs was rough. It also dragged on and Holland seemed more annoying than endearing
The final battle, what the hell was that? "Its going to explode" "I am trying to save you" bang! It explodes but we don't see it and the damn thing doesn't kill him anyway, such a nothing ending.
Lastly the whole movie (other than casting) did not take any chances creatively. This was suppose to be the Spiderman marvel cultivated but I did not feel the magic and without it what was the point

Or maybe its the market right now. Casual fan's wont rush to see this. The last Spiderman movie dropped 3 years ago. This is another reboot. It's like Fantastic 4 dropping next year. It don't matter who they got to direct and act in it, casual fans aren't gonna be pressed to go see it.
If Marvel did everything they good to not show traditional scenes from the previous films and they also had lower expectations for the opening week. The important thing is Spidey is currently in the MCU. The 2nd one will do bigger numbers coming off the heels of Infinity War.
And I honestly think they pushed BP back in favor of Spiderman just to make sure Sony didn't renege on their agreement
:Ugh5150:
That's how I felt watching it. Spider-Man was a complete loser fukk-up in his own movie. Even the final battle with the Vulture only turned out well because The Vulture didn't realize how volatile that Chitauri stone thing was. Spider-Man had jack shyt to do with defeating him.
I saw the film.....even for a Spider-Man story, Peter took too many Ls

Holland was really good but the movie as a whole was not all that special.
They should have not used him in Avengers 4, I mean CW. The audience saw the team up and there was nothing left
