Yall need to stop with the "____ is the best Spider-Man/Peter Parker" debates. Nobody is ever going to come to an agreement on it because it's so subjective. Even in the comics Peter/Spider-Man gets portrayed differently. Different people like different eras of Spider-Man so different actor interpretations are going to resonate more.

There was nothing wrong with having POC the problem was they weren't used properly and it felt more like some exec looking at the success of F&F and going ham. "You want diversity, well take that". But did any of those characters really stand out? No..

surprised everyone is so positive about this movie, I never read the comics but was there a time in high school when Peter didn't rely on his smarts/wits? I saw non of those spider hallmarks in homecoming. And the AI suit and Tony stark to a great degree were like a big safety blanket which took away from the true spirit of what spiderman is

Michelle and Ned didn't stand out? Both of them were cited as highlights of the film for a lot of people. I've seen people say they wish there was more of Michelle in the movie. The other characters were just background/supporting characters, so of course they didn't stand out as much.

Even Fast 8 had a weak domestic gross compared to 5-7.

Ticket sales are falling across the board domestically.

It's just overseas audiences keep eating up our garbage.

Back in the day blockbusters were few and far between. Now they're every fukking weekend.

It's a bit much to keep up with even as someone who loves movies. Casual fans are just saying

My main beef with Tobey as Spider-man was that he wasn't constantly cracking jokes and talking shyt. He's not my fave but I get how he could be others faves. That was the first time we ever saw anything close to a comic book accurate Spider-Man in terms of how he moved. McGuire did add to the dramatic scenes too.
