For a character as popular as Spider-Man, Homecoming is doing disappointing numbers. Everybody would say the same if it were Batman

Also nobody called Strange, Thor, Cap or Antman flops

It's fair play.


For months marvel stans went on and on and on about batman v superman not making a billion. How it should have. It was expected. And hey,fair game, it not making a billion was a disappointment. There's no lie there.


We also had to hear how the asm films were flops because they weren't making a billion and a character of spider man's stature should be.


How if marvel had the rights it would be.


How iron man is Mr. Guaranteed billion.




Well. Marvel has the rights and iron man was shoved all over the ads and it's not going to make a billion

Anything under a billion for Batman or Spider-Man should be considered disappointments. That's the way I see it

Adjusted for inflation, all 3 Raimi Spider-Man movies are well over a billion btw. The first one was the The Avengers/TDK of it's time

I wish overall we'd get better with this "emotional" or "you mad" shyt.

Sometimes it feels like when cats are running out of steam with their response, they always run to that card and its overplayed.

I dont know. The way I see it, Batman and Spiderman by themselves, $700M and up is successful. Like, fukk the stan shyt yall get mad at...I'm trying to be objective thats a great number for any movie.

I mean its getting to the point where say a cat has a NBA game and they statline is 41/12/9 and niccas shyt on him talking about "he had a sorry game cuz he aint get the triple double and he aint hit 50"

The only reason people made comments about BvS, is because like how DC stans loved to clown...... (bu bu bu but) The Avengers are/were C-D level characters that overachieved and set a new standard.

Batman, Superman, and WonderWonder woman are/were ELITE AAA level characters. Before 2008 everyone knew more about them 3 than the Avengers, is it really a stretch to think the 3 so called biggest and most popular characters of all time shouldve did more?

It's not a flop, these months are just loaded and WW is exceeding expectations.

Sony/Marvel might not have counted on Gal Gadot having such great legs, but they must've known Apes/Cars would also eat.

They finally nailed Parker/Spider Man on the big screen

While the Tobey series had a good Peter Parker and a meh SM and the Garfield series had a great SM and an awful Peter....this film had the perfect Peter/Spidey depiction. Can't wait to see the growth in the future films.

ehh Tobey and Doc Ock still the best Spidey imho but i will say this film was enjoyable. The racial inclusion was cool i guess but we still havent had gnarely red head MJ. Flash is Indian now?? i dunno man. But im nitpicking 7 out of 10 for me

Oh yeah, regarding the Spider-sense debate, I think Feige's excuse was weak but I don't think you can complain about it here when all the Spidey movies before this have moments where it is completely ignored. Just saying, this is nothing new.

Also, if you want to criticize the movie for that, you better stop praising Logan immediately for continuing that bullshyt about how an adamantium bullet can pierce indestructible adamantium coated bone and kill someone with healing powers.
