more like he's pointing out plotholes in the movie. some cats do tend to overlook plotholes in some jawns compared to others which has always been his point. And he's not wrong on that.
Toomes wasn't the one creating the tech. It was the other dude who's also a villain in the comics known for being a genius.

Toomes was trying to make money for his family. He was pissed off when his job was outsourced to SHIELD and the country fukking him over so he did what he had to do and Peter was in the way. He was trying to convey his point to him and figured he could scare the kid into leaving him alone.

I don't mind pointing out illogical shyt but don't pull some shyt outta ya ass based on a personal bias.

I give the movie a B. Dope, but not up there with the likes of Spider-Man 2.

I miss J. Jonah Jameson... :mjcry:
Will be interesting to see how they modernize the whole bugle aspect
Then again ultimate series already did that for them more or less

I can't say that it's the best Spider-Man movie to me personally nor best MCU movie but it's very good and I enjoyed it a lot. I need to see how it ages and how rewatchable it is in future viewings.
I feel the same I'm going to let it marinate before I rank them but I will say it may be my favorite Spider-man movie.

Enjoyed the fukk out of the movie. Tom Holland is a star.
Zendaya was a fukking disappointment. Her role mostly.
oh, trust me, if you hated Kirsten Dunst story in the first set of movies, you will love the tragic mullato story that's going to happen in the sequel.

Crazy question to ask breh because its all subjective. There are aspects of spider man 2 that probably work better here but then there are aspects of this that work better than both of those movies. Spider Man 2 is definitely a Sam Rami movie and has his stamp. This one doesn't have those personal touches but it manages to get a lot more right than spider man 2, at least in my eyes and it starts with tom holland

LOVED the movie. The comedy, the action. The storyline tugged at my heartstrings.

My favorites were:

1) Ned. The kids in general were hilarious.
2) Cap's PSA's. They used him PERFECTLY.
3) The twist, with the Vulture revealed to be Liz's dad. I didn't see it coming and it humanized the villain both for Peter and for the audience.
4) Peter stuck under the rubble. They weren't afraid to let the hero be vulnerable and helpless for a minute, I liked that.
5) Too many funny/clever moments to count

My biggest qualms were:

1) The return of Pepper. It was so anticlimactic after the big deal they made out of her dumping Tony in Civil War.
2) Tony rewarding Peter for doing the exact same thing he punished him for earlier in the movie: Sneaking off to go after the Vulture alone. Didn't make sense to me.

I'm having a hard time deciding how SM:H compares to Spider-Man 2. I feel like I have to re-watch both movies to make up my mind, but it's definitely a horse race.

I think the one difference with your number 2 is Peter saved their asses and got the guy arrested. While also saving the city in the process. It's one thing to go off do something with his tech he gave him while also causing a terrible accident and when the feds were in on it. But vulture was still moving unchecked. And he did it on his own without anyone helping him
