Just saw the movie. Probably somewhere between 7-7.5/10 to me.
Had a few issues as follows:
1. Since when
did Peter ever have an asian sidekick?! Unnecessary character that caused problems in the beginning. He ended up with two good moments
2. Why did they
turn Flash into a indian/mexican rich douchebag? I guess too many kids suiciding from bullying nowadays
3. What was up with
Zendaya not really having anything to do say in the movie?why did they make her character an "edgy" kid?
4.
they kinda underplayed his powers a lot. Peter should have an unparalleled grip but he's sliding around the building? Dude has super strength but is struggling at shyt he could shrug off. I guess it was necessary for the payoff
Thought it was a solid film that shows how he fits in to the world where galactic and global shyt is going on. Some nice updates to a modern day Spiderman. Loved seeing so many actors from tv shows in the movie. Not so subtle shout out to the
trumpset with that villain though.big gov left blue collar whitey behind
It's interesting how when extra white characters get added to these mainstream traditionally white male movies no one complains. Get a few diverse faces though people go ape shyt.
Also, what does the film room of Spiderman not having Spidey senses?

I mentioned downplaying his powers but yeah no spider sense is a big flaw as well.
I mentioned the friend Ned bc since when did Peter have a sidekick? Someone above told me he is from Miles Morales ultimate spiderman though.
Also i dont need diversity shoehorned into movies just so white studio execs can say "hey we are diverse! Look an asian and hispanic!" They need their own shine time/standalone films not only secondary or tertiary character roles. Miss me with that bullshyt
They should have saved him for the Miles version then lol. Peter Parker had one friend when i last read a comic (which admittedly was a long ass time ago)
Still kinda bs that Donald Glover cant play miles when the character was partially based on him
