Spider-man is my dude since I was a youngin, used to watch the reruns from the 60's cartoon, live action series, Spider-man and his Amazing friends etc. I was finally happy to see the live action movies starting in 2002. With that being said and 14 years later/5 movies. Marvel/Sony should let the character chill for a bit with his own movies and just have him show up in other MCU movies. There are other characters they can focus on. Disny/Marvel can basically make any character a household name, they just have to be willing to take the risk, set the character up properly. Just look at Big Hero 6 for example pretty unknown besides the comics but was a major hit regardless.

Like @Phillyrider807 just said he's their biggest cash cow. They won't chill. They finally got their hands on their biggest most popular character and you think they're going to chill? Nah homie.

Lol right!! The fact that they starting him so young should prove they NOT gonna let spidey slip away again. Spidey is now Marvel's harry potter. Tom Holland is set for life. Expect Spidey to be in Phase 4 5 and 6 lmao.

Especially with Robert only contracted for a couple more flicks and everyone else's contract will be up soon too. Time for the rotation

I know they won't chill and I know Spidey is their cash cow, but they should let some other characters get some shine before they start up again.

Civil war trailer came out and apparently the one thing people kept talking about is spidey. I feel like the move will pay off breh. But clearly I'm biased. I'm always down for more spider man.

Well that's the thing that's always been talked about as soon as it was known Marvel/Sony struck a deal. Where's Spiderman? and been talked about to death at every press conference/media/magazines. People were pissed Spiderman wasn't in the first two trailers. Then the last trailer they finally show him, and people are complaining about his looks/voice etc. I guess it's at 50/50 like and dislike on the internet. Can't have it both ways.

It's the Internet. You can never have it just one way lol you're right. But it's not about people on the Internet who've known since February of last year. It's for normal people who don't give a shyt until they see one trailer. The Internet fan community is still a vocal minority. It's like the number of people who care about politics year round (myself) and people who only pay attention during the fall.

Right. You can literally search my name in this topic and see how many times I said YALL ARE DUMB if you don't think Marvel will show Spidey in the final trailer.

People on the internet is a VERY small percentage of movie goers. Especially for a movie as casual as the MCU movies. Just watch some of the reactions for spidey and see for yourself.

THESE are the people Marvel is catering too.

Spider-Man Reboot Title Revealed?

The eagle-eyed folks at BBC (via Empire) noticed that Sony registered the domain name SpiderManHomecomingTheMovie.com late last week, signaling that Spider-Man: Homecoming could very well be the title of this new Spider-Man picture. While domain names aren’t a 100% reliable source of insider info, this is how we learned the title of Skyfall, another Sony movie, and has led to more than a few scoops over the years.

So what’s the significance of Homecoming? Well first and foremost, it refers to a comic book storyline that also featured the characters of Captain America and Iron Man, which means we could see Chris Evans and/orRobert Downey Jr. pop up in the standalone Spidey picture. The story of Homecoming in the comics found Spidey and Curt Connors arriving back home via a portal, followed shortly by the Avengers, as Spider-Man goes about patrolling the city and finding out what his new costume can do. That comic also marks the first appearance of the venom suit in the pages of The Amazing Spider-Man and features the character of Black Cat, but Marvel has rarely adapted a comics storyline verbatim, so if Homecoming is indeed the title, we can’t guarantee which aspects of the comic will make their way to the screen. Again, the title of Homecoming isn’t confirmed, but it does make quite a bit of sense.
