That's fantastic but the whole "transcends race" argument is wrong. They are white heroes, and if you fukk with them then cool, but don't EVER for ONE second think that a Hollywood studio would green light a movie where Bruce Wayne, Peter Parker, or Clark Kent were anything other than White. Sony wouldn't even give Donald Glover an audition. They are white heroes for a majority white audience and if blacks and other minorities fukk with them then these companies will gladly take our money, but they were not created to represent minorities, they do not "transcend" race.

Breh you're just talking from a hollywood perspective for one, that's but one form of media for the character. Just because a movie studio that happens to have the rights doesn't want to to make them a minority doesnt negate the fact that they are icons at all :francis:. That's the decision of just a handful of people, it literally means nothing.

Peter Parker, Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent arent getting their race changed, even in the comics. But in the comics, black characters have taken on their mantle or mantles that are extremely similar. Miles Morales as Spiderman, John Henry Irons as Steel, and Luke Fox as Batwing.

Superman and mutants were created to be minorities.

I got to disagree with you on that breh. They just rebooted the film in 2012. And Hell I didn't even think the 2002 needed a reboot. And that was a 10 year difference. This is only 4. I mean kids who saw the 2012 version at 7 are only 11. They remember Peter's origin pretty damn well I'm sure.

Exactly my point..

I'm not trying to tell no body how to do anything. All i'm saying is that it just don't make sense there's so many other stories they could tell or "remake", "reboot" whatever way you want to say it.

:francis:Sure, they gonna make money... otherwise they wouldn't even do it? .. :dwillhuh:The lack of originality is the point of my response...

:ohhh: @MartyMcFly I think someone finally figured out which character Zendaya is playing:

Michele Gonzales
200px-Michele_Gonzales.jpg

I saw that. Could be but I still don't buy it yet. It'd be cool to introduce some new blood but Michelle isn't even around anymore. Well I'm sure she's around but no one touches her. But the other thing is, she's latina. Why not just get a latina to play her lol. That way you can continue to make the casting diverse while also bringing to the screen a latina character who's not played by a girl who's half black half white

Probably cuz Zendaya is racially ambiguous as fukk. Remember they had her be a girl of like all cultures on her Black-ish appearance, lol.
:ohhh: Was she that 1 chick that was friends with the oldest daughter & was fatherless?

I'm so sick of high school Peter. We've seen it enough already.
This! If you grew up watching the 90's and/or 80's Spider-Man Animated series, College-age Peter Parker is what you're familiar with. I don't understand why don't they just do college-age Peter Parker (Undergrad OR Postgrad) in the movies.

I don't buy that High School age Spider-Man would be part of the Avengers.

So you never read comics a day in your life then have you?

Marvel can't just cater to people who grew up watching an animated series, that's the first thing. especially for a character who's been around for 50 years. And being Marvel, and seeing as how the current regime didn't produce that show, they're going to be more inclined to pull from comics than tv.

2ndly, a high school aged peter parker was thought of to be in the avengers and the FF but didn't join the FF because it wouldn't pay anything and never wanted to be on the avengers because he's "not a team player"

I own a bunch of the essential Spider-Man TPB books, so I've read all of 60's Spider-Man comics & most of the 70's Spider-Man comics. I've also read the first several "Ultimate Spider-Man" TPB books.
