Sony isn’t the one making creative decisions on the movie tho. Kevin and the rest of Marvels producers make the creative choices. So setting up venom, a different property at a different studio, wouldn’t be in their minds.

I'm sure theyve already had talks with Marvel about using Venom in the MCU.
Being that Venom is probably Spidermans most popular villian,you can guarantee Marvel already knows whether or not they will have the rights to use him at some point.
They need to know so they can build the story accordingly. Official announcement should be coming soon.

Maybe so maybe no but I don’t see the ending of the movie as something for venom. Kraven and the immediate danger it puts peter in feels more like a reality to me

Pretty sure for the third movie we will have a marquee big name Villian,not Kraven. Thats likely a decoy name drop,don't be suprised if we even see Spiderman in the next Venom movie. We could see that lead up to a Carnage story line in the next Spiderman film. Just my speculation,3 movies in time for a big name ,popular bad guy.Also take a look at this

We are talking big stakes behind the scenes here from an overall business perspective on Sonys side,and for Marvel as well. Marvel has a reason to not use Venom yet,while Sony has a reason too,and not too depending on overall business plans.

They’ve already said (watts, writers) they want to do a villain we haven’t seen on screen yet. They want to keep telling stories that separate this Spider-Man from the previous ones. So I wouldn’t bet on goblin or Ock or venom or thankfully, carnage. But it’s also why they had his big reveal at the end because Spider-Man being looked at as a serious criminal, framed for murder, and having his ID out for the whole world is something new for a Spider-Man movie.

Spider-Man being a wanted criminal opens the lane wide open for him to be hunted while also adapting the story from the comics of Jonah creating scorpion to kill Spider-Man. He could, if they want to go this route, have JJJ be the one to facilitate kraven hunting Spider-Man. And that’s if they’re going with kraven. Jon watts has already said he wants to do that but we’ll see.

Let’s take Michelle and Peter’s relationship, the film or even Homecoming showed why Michelle and Peter like each other. They just like each other because Michelle is MJ, and well Peter has to like MJ in a Spider-Man movie

This is a good point. Maybe I need to watch Homecoming again but in that movie he was all up to the wall for the black chick, now in this movie he suddenly is feenin for MJ hard. It came out of nowhere with no true lead up to it.

It's so crazy to me that after all these years, Spiderman 3 has been the highest grossing Spiderman movie. Ain't that the one everybody hate?

On a side note, how the hell has there not been a billion dollar Spiderman movie yet? You would think he would've had one by now. Especially considering Ironman did it, and Batman did it, even black panther

The boom period for superhero movies was right after Batman Begins. TDK and the first Iron Man came the same year... that’s when it became cool for the causal critic to check these movies out

Spider-Man 3 may be the most disliked but it did those #s based off the hype of the first 2 films and the inclusion of Venom

What’s more interesting to me is why Marvel had to sell all their characters’ movie rights to begin with.
