As a big ass Sonic/Sega fan (no Charles Hamilton) I don't know how i feel about this....
I ain't see no mention of Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy etc.
Ima need Jaleel White to voice sonic,
And why is Dr Robotnik/Eggman skinny?

I feel you but 2 things.
1- this the first movie and none of them characters was in them was in the first game
2- why should they waste them this early?
We be wanting shyt too fast to soon our era with out the work.
We really are an “entitlement” generation
1 - conversely, this isn't based on any specific game...so they could have easily added tails
2 - i wouldn't add all his secondary characters, but at least tails since they're the duo. then hint at the others.
but seeing how sonic looks...maybe leaving out tails was for the best..
Doesn't make sense to use Tails right now because they are clearly trying to make this a Buddy flick with the Cop character and Sonic. Would make sense to intro tails if this ends with Sonic and the Cop dude going on their own paths and Sonic needs a new sidekick.
The budget is only $90 million so I could see them making it back. At the same time, a lot of people already have condemned the movie and don't want to see it.
The crazy thing is this could have been easily done correctly. I wonder when this got Greenlit because it seems like a cash grab response to the Pokemon flick.

Exactly. You want a movie to make money but not put money to make the most iconic version of the story. Sonic and Tails.
i see what you saying..but that angle they using for the flick is wack and tired...sonic and a human friend was never it. shyt was wack in 06 with the game, shyt's wack now. he needa be among his friends.
but we'll see how the film goes.
hope it does well enough to at least get them in a sequel

This movie looks much better than expected.
