if ever there was an opportunity to explore some type of redemption arc for louie, it was after this episode. she acknowledged this was all her fault. then the episode put her through a truly horrible comeuppance. horrible enough that it forces franklin -- and the viewers -- to reconsider what they've been through with the character, and what she truly "deserved". for most of the episode, louie being a manipulative monster didn't matter. it felt like a smart (and occasionally excessive) way to challenge the overwhelming fan hatred for the character.

turning right back around into louie blames franklin territory says the show doesn't want louie to be redeemable, is setting us up for a pivot, or is prioritizing a flashy conclusion over character development. cause this feels like backtracking for the sake of arriving at a destination. it doesnt make sense.
bro, from her standpoint - not you as an omnipotent viewer - how is she supposed to see it? frank gave her name to kane as the shooter and gave up her location as far as horse riding?

that said, regardless of what he did, she was out here warring with these people and gotta hold the L that is collateral damage, a war has casualties. the writers/editors also aint give that shyt no room to breathe with that preview (my bad for watching the preview too), at least let us believe she might be grateful frank put the call out to get her ass outta there :dead:

This ep made no sense.... Franklin.. Jerome and Lou been trying to kill each other for two seasons now.... So we suppose to feel bad that Jerome dead now?... Why did Franklin even help Lou?... He should have shown that same energy that he been showin to them all season.... I thought this was the ep where Lou and Jerome finally get there's..... :pacspit:

they separated last season, but they aint try to kill each other until this season

Guess the moral of the story is all this shyt aint really worth it, huh?

Jammin Jerome :damn:

This bytch STILL blamin Frank for all this? When you put the lil nikka on to movin his first brick? She aint play no part? She drove these wedges and had to face the consequence for that

And all this...over BUCKLEY? i get a loyalty to ya people but a crackhead cop who was doin a lil boogie when he told yall that Franklin helped Kane get outta there? God damn Louie's dumb. And for what? to be respected?

She was finna go back to that old life fast.

Kane was bringin the same feeling that Karvel brought  nikka brought that iron, i heard them screams and looked away with the quickness

KGBreh was smart to let Teddy in and say very little, although a desperate/oversharing Teddy didnt say too much.

Oso plottin, love to see it. First time it actually looked like he had a way out. Not sure if he's gonna double cross Frank but the tiger scene leads me to believe he holds loyalty in a different light than Teddy who drove off after he took a bullet

V's mama being the only smart one to get the hell out of the blast radius that's about to incur. V had a point tho to stay by her man, gotta respect that :leon:

Ricky came back just in time to get killed while driving back to the place. Leon a fukkin deadshot now

Lastly, it figures Jerome would be the one to go. He's been kinda aimless ever since the family feud started. Good on the showrunners to let him direct an episode tho

It might have seemed dumb to not give up Buckley but they would have killed her sooner if she did

Uncle Jerome rapping

speaking jerome and rap....what the fukk happened to the rapping kid droppin fax on wax? that was a weird storyline because it seemed like they might have rome go get a label or at least that song should've had more impact on the story, but it was other plotlines that moved the story forward. it was weird how they highlighted him/his tapes and nothing came of it

Or............none of this wouldve happened IF Louie didnt go behind Franklin's back and try and kill Kane. The Kane problem was handled, Kane, Leon, and Franklin brokered peace. This is all on Louie.

It's why I don't watch previews :manny:

Also in that situation Kane was going after Franklin over killing Kev by accident. Him going so hard for Louie/Buckley makes sense, they tried to kill him, after a peace was made.

@WesCrook :salute:

Technically it’s 70% Louie, 30% Franklin.

Louie was ungrateful and selfish which started the conflict with Franklin and then she tried to kill Kane. I can write about how dumb Louie is for pages so I won’t.

Franklin gave up Louie’s location at the horse stable knowing deep down he would never be okay with someone killing her. He should’ve figured out a way to take out Kane first instead of giving up his family to him even if he was at odds with Jerome and Louie temporarily. Their beef (Franklin vs. Jerome-Louie) should’ve been handled in house…not with Kane being involved. Had Franklin killed Kane from the jump this wouldn’t have happened. Now his uncle gone :francis: So technically Louie has a small point.

Agreed. He basically gave up Louie’s location, had a change of heart once he saw the reality of what was happening then told Jerome who went there and got killed :manny:

Man, i dont even like how Jerome died, it was corny. getting shot and trying to do the cliche suspensful thing like he didn’t really get hit :camby:

Then falling the ground like sleeping beauty :dead:

Those overly dramatic death scenes are corny and im not sure why hollywood hasn’t figured that out. Its much more impact when someone just gets their dome blown off like Leo in The Departed.
