Yes so it's not far fetched that the next season is in 1988
But honestly I think the producers either didn't know when Straight Outta Compton came out or they just didn't care

It would be a problem if the song were playing on the radio or if someone played it on tape.
But, they were playing it as background music, its not something that Franklin and the other characters could actually hear.

While I agree they waged war - actions have consequences. The only reason I’ve commented so much in this in this thread is because people don’t acknowledge that was the move any business would make and that Frank was stupid to have one org control 90% of his distribution.

People keep talking about the fact that Louie and Rome were 90% of his distribution is stupid. I agree. You shouldn’t rely that much on one person but realistically, I doubt Franklin intended for it to be that way.

He probably worked with a bunch of people who came and went (Left for another supplier, went to Jail, or was killed). Part of it could have been Louie’s ambition to follow through on Franklins idea to expand.

So Louie is going out there making moves and buying more and more from Franklin, next thing you know she is 90% of his customer base. People act like Franklin is in legitimate business, it’s probably not easy getting into illegal business with more and more people when you don’t know who to trust.

not sure if he knew about oso but franklin did tell him avi's place was burned down so im gonna assume he needs a new gun plug or its Parissa getting snatched up. probably the combination of the two might have paranoid teddy thinking a foreign entity is on to him
