Breh Kane is essentially the same plot line as Richie Aprille :dwillhuh: We had no idea who Richie was before and he was never mentioned. Richie had a dead brother, was an OG that was batsh*t crazy who went to prison, came home immediately causing hell on the street and had conflict with the young guy who used to be a lil nikka to him now being the King. The only difference is Kevin was killed by Franklin vs. Jackie dying for medical reasons.
They not the same.Rough start for him at first but, Richie bowed down to Tony and showed him respeck (remember he gave him that jacket that Tony gave to the maid husband). Even before the jacket shyt Richie was never trying to kill Tony.
Kane put a military hit on the boss and all upper management at the same time.

@Ol’Otis is skully and manboy based on real characters?
Skully I’m not sure
Manboy could be based on Melvin Butler
Only things is Melvin Butler didn’t bang(though associated with the ECC) and he was from South Central

Deaundre Bonds said John Singleton told him the character was based on a real guy, not sure if his name was actually Skully though.

I thought overall it was a good episode.

-Kane was giving me Karvell vibes, He will make a good antagonist to Franklin
-Like many predicted the death of Kevin was going to back in one way or the other
-Love Unc putting the beats on ol' boy, the POV camera angle was dope
-I also believe the next time we see peaches, he will be dead. I think that's a twist people may not be seeing, maybe Kane got the drop from peaches and they will find him dead because Kane killed him

I don't believe the show has jumped the shark like some are saying, its a slow build and some things are dragging like the OSO storyline. Nothing in depth is really going on with him but I'm willing to let it play out before I judge it too harshly...

There was really no point in the whole Tiger storyline lmao.

Also this season is all over, we got like 10 storylines to uncover, I am not sure how they will do that without it being underwhelming.

I agree, a waste of time and money on their part. They could have just have them getting hemmed up by the Mexicans after they came from underneath the house and it would have same effect. And I honestly didn’t have a problem with the Tiger being there after the last episode. But having the Tiger catch 2 bodies that ended up saving Franklin life both times is where is gets into the “jumping the shark” territory but the episode got back on track after that adventure was over.

Just realized the guy playing Kane is the same dude playing Norm Nixon on Winning Time. I’m all for them adding someone new cause I was just saying a couple weeks ago that I kind of wish Manboy was still around. We’ll see where it goes but these two episodes kind felt like a storyline reset

Tiger came around that corner like

:francis:

for like 2 seconds back then Ryan was feeling himself like he literally was Diddy.

and then Diddy took this bytch and everything nosedived from there. Ryan promised her no singing ass a career and prolly though that would keep her up under him. Meanwhile a real boss pulled up and took her with barely any effort :mjcry:

Richie Aprile was a nobody when he got out. He was shaking down pizza shop owner beansie, the boss of the family ignoring him, selling coke to get his money up. Kane came out and he already MOB boss status and clout lol.

While I was entertained by the last two episodes, this shyt is all over the place. Frank's baby mama NOW is worried about the lifestyle? You're dating a drug lord who killed the father of his childhood sweetheart, killed one of his childhood friends, and has a direct connection to the CIA! He's nothing but trouble!

The tiger stuff was funny but they could have simply just had it be some crazy old Korean War or World War 2 veteran's house they broke into who has PTSD and was holding them hostage and they managed to escape.

I know Franklin and Alton had a falling out again but I just can't take it seriously that Franklin would still be cool with the man that killed your pops. Even if Franklin is shook because Teddy is the feds, he could be like I'm not doing business with you anymore and just deal directly with the Colombians.

Also we don't get any mention of Kane until this episode unless I missed it but now all of a sudden he's the new antagonist.

Again I'm enjoying the show, it's one of my favorites but it's getting harder and harder to suspend belief.
They would kill or hit Franklin with a life sentencing Rico if he tried to cut out the CIA. The only reason he is even allowed to operate is because of that connection. I’m sure Franklin is pissed about Alton death but even he’s smart enough to know you can’t fukk with the CIA. When Teddy shows up in his house Franklin says as much “it’s your world, I’m just selling drugs in it”

It doesn’t have to be a perfect comparison to be a TV trope. If you don’t see the similarities of both being “an older brother of an best friend you once looked up too, coming back to be a rival, to cause havoc and is in general, mad because you passed him” I don’t know what to tell you :gucci:

That's not the issue people have with Kane. The issue people have with Kane is he supposedly is so powerful and has a big issue with the fact his brother died and he grew up with Franklin and Leon and nobody cared to mention him at at over the span of 3 seasons? If you cant see how thats bad writing desperate for a way to drag the show on I cant help you. Then you add the fact he get out of prison and he's right away a street military commander is dumb af. Somebody that big and that close to you getting out of prison would have got back to Franklin and co asap
