John Singleton's influence is definitely missing. He certainly would not have had Melody's character in exile. The LAPD would still be involved in this as well.

It's veering away from Frank's influence on the destruction of his environment, which is really what this show is about, and Mel was a big part of that dynamic.

Also, Frank's character is not the same. Not as much substance as before, especially his dialogue. His scenes are not as galvanizing as they were before.

I hate to say it.

It wasn't potential trouble for Franklin like the end of Season 2, Skully wanted to kill him already and now Leon accidentally killed Skully's daughter because of the mess Franklin started. Franklin is in an even worse situation than back then

Franklin used to have a huge crew and less than a year later he's down to 3 people. Which makes it unrealistic that Skully didn't kill him yet
