I agree,the fact he is not flashy even tones down the fact that its about money. Even though I'm sure he is just being smart by not flossing. But like the other person said,they are showing the transition its just happening slowly. I'm just not use to a show moving slowly like it expects to be around for 10 seasons.

Also I don't like how they just made his mother a yes woman,I'd rather her be against it again though I guess that ship has sailed. Because I don't think this version of Franklin would give a damn for real,or would at least be able to turn off any emotion. Either that or make a real dope queen,mama gotta catch a body next season protecting her baby boy.

Meh. There's layers to his Mama. She spent an entire season not talkin' to Franklin. We had enough of that shyt. She spent a good portion of Franklins life being a slave to society...being a law abiding citizen and it didn't get her shyt. And part of that upbringing being in poverty w/ his father not being around is what made Franklin who he is. She knows they gotta use unconventional means of getting over in this world. She got with a panther all of those years ago after all. She reached her breaking point and getting back with Franklins daddy may have awoken some of that rebel spirit in her. That said I'm sure there will be some uncertainty and pushback when she truly realizes what Franklin is doing to his neighbors (especially Mel & Andre)...not to mention if it starts fukkin with her family.
