That’s fair. But why not a role in Blade or something? I want our nikkas to flourish everywhere.
And friend so do I. But let it happen organically whatever that path may look like. But let’s not venture into that dangerous path of feeling some type of way white folks aren’t talking about this around the water cooler.

I agree with previous posts.

This was the best episode of Snowfall so far and by far. This is when it's starting to hit home cos people who were around during that time all knew or knew of somebody who totally fell off and got destroyed due to crack.

The scene With Mel and Wanda getting high in the skating rink with 'Sail On' by The Commodores and that camerawork was some of the best stuff I've seen in a TV series of recent times. They made something tragic look so beautiful and euphoric which represented what a crack high actually is. The music choice for that scene was perfect.

The makeup artists did a great job on the chick who plays Wanda cos she looked :scust:the minute she got on screen despite being cute lol. She's almost too convincing as a crackhead, the mannerisms and everything.

Seeing this interview years back really shook me to how deep crack epidemic was.

I watched this earlier. :wow: Dude died not too long after. Sad. all that intelligence and potential gone to waste. :mjcry:

Probably could have been a millionaire easily if crack didn't get a hold of him.

And this was in 1981 before the actual epidemic. I didn't know they were even calling it crack yet.

No Whammies!!
Does Franklin really need to be in the hood still?

Like breh cant get a modest apartment, crib in the valley or some shyt?

:patrice:

I'm not an expert on LA, but the impression that I got from the first season was that his neighborhood WAS what would have been considered a "nice" neighborhood. Franklin is the one that caused it to go downhill.
