How'd he sell out the two guys that got killed doing shyt they were told not to do?

By not letting them kill random Mexicans in broad daylight?

By not telling Kevin's crazy ass where the Mexican was?

By not starting a war he knew they can't handle?

Kevin was willing to have the whole crew and everyone they love get wiped out for those two dumbasses.

This is all true but this is the emotion of the game. Franklin sells the idea it's deeper than business they are family or deeply affiliated etc. So all this shyt about Kev's cousins were wrong and they shouldn't have been there stuff doesn't matter. They got killed by the other side. That's all that matters, Franklin and the crew have to hit back. As the boss Franklin has to convince Kev he is behind him with that and he did for awhile. He said if niqqaz can get got without starting a war he would be down for get back. He gets that very opportunity and lies about it and he shut down Kev trying to find out on his own.
That's a legitimate concern for Kev dude went back on his word and lied to him about it. And to him this is about family more than being business minded etc.

Look Franklin played this wrong and really this could just be a lesson for him going forward.
Kev has stolen, gotten high and his cousins were in the wrong. Franklin obviously loves the guy but if we saying Franklin is smart he can observe both that although he is his one of my best friends he isn't all that reliable and since his cousins got killed he has been inconsolable. No one in the crew is thinking hard on that shyt except Kev it's obvious. When he was doing his own investigating about who killed his cousin Franklin should have let him do him. At best it works and Kev is satisfied and at worst he gets arrested. But since Franklin was in his corner on it and continues to support after his arrest Kev is likely to stay in the fold. Lying and reneging on your word was the wrong move.

And yeah, when Lucia asked for the recipe for who killed the cousins he should have took that. He probably could have negotiated skrilla in perpetuity or a lump sum as well as the names for the recipe. 'Franklin's the one blabbing to Reed he plans to take this shyt national. How did he expect to even penetrate the Latin part of LA? By not letting Mexicans cook crack and keep it among the crew?

The actor who plays Franklin's uncle would have been a way better Luke Cage than Colter.

Even after a second watch, that ending was too intense

I didn't realize he would shoot Kev, but I knew Franklin's savage mode was finally activated the moment he had that exchange with his mom. I said it before, he's been a mama's boy up to this point (first season mainly) and she was the ONLY thing keeping his humanity in tact.

I wanna say that Reed needs the CIA to squash this DEA shyt before the shyt hits the fan but so much happened, everything is about to unravel Lucia was spotted by ol boy, so now her whole shyt is fukked even after the DEA backs down. Gabby can't stop this now, plus she got what she wanted in the recipe. Kev is in custody and could give up the whole operation again even if the DEA backs down, those files wouldn't just be destroyed.

Beyond all of this, Reed is the BIGGEST shyt hitting the fan. If the Cali cartel cats go down, ALL of fukking LA is going dry as far as we're concerned. And now you got a scenario of fullout violence and fukkery with no product or profit behind it, pure anger mistrust and revenge
