You know I gotta ask, what does Cena do to earn 10+ million a year? Like seriously. I'm a fan but let's be real. This is where I can see where Ryback was coming from. Take Tom Brady out of the Pats and they turn to shyt, so he earns that massive dough, take Cena out of WWE and do they turn to shyt? Let's see.

Ratings were crap with him, crap when he left/got injured and are still crap with his return (brand split is why they're up now). And since 05 they've slowly been dropping, so he's not a ratings draw.

Shows still sell out with him not there, Raw's still sold out, SD's still packed, PPV's still sell out, WM still sold out; so him being there doesn't affect the bums on seats then. So a few kids don't show up, adult smarks just replace them.

So he sells a lot of merchandise, so would anyone else with about 100 items on the store, especially when guys like Cesaro have like 2 items. When they push someone else they overtake, *cough Punk cough*.

I don't know about house shows, not my area of expertise, so someone would have to fill me in on that.

So yeah I ask, when most guys are earning 100-300k, and Cena is earning 10 milly; why? Like Ryback said, why is he on 200k but Cena on 10 milly? Because Cena's a star? But the show does the same with or without him? This isn't like adding Robert Downey Jr to a Marvel movie and it make a shyt ton more, or add Lebron James to 76ers and they become instantly better. Because with or without Cena, ratings/attendances and overall interest in WWE is the same, if not worse.

So Cena stans, what does he do to earn that massive dough? :jbhmm:

They didnt always have a million items of his to sell, he sold more thus they make more. Nike makes more Lebron James merchandise than Paul George merch. The reason for Cena going to Smackdown was to boost their Smackdown branded house shows. Cena downside guarantee is $1 million just like HHH and all top guys beside Brock so the rest of his money made from royalties and main eventing shows

Really? Best selling was WM28 but that was because of The Rock, WM23's heavily promoted the battle of the billionaires, people were big for Taker/Shawn title shots, they were coming off a run of great PPV's and there was a mega promotion campaign for it, it was advertised all over the place where I live, more than any other year; WM21 didn't have him in main event, WM27 was because of Rock on the show, WM24 didn't have him in main event, WM29 was again because of The Rock, and next couple didn't have Cena in the main event either.

And like I said merchandise helps when you have about a thousand items on the store, how many do Sami Zayn have for example?

And can't say much for endorsements, although being the face of the company for 11 years probably helps and anyone in his shoes would have a lot of endorsements.

Like I said I like Cena, but not seeing how he deserves all this money when he hardly affects the show at all; like how much of a "star" is he? :yeshrug:

Cena Rock 1 was the biggest wrestling match of all time money wise to that point between the gate and PPV.

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Smackdown proved that Ziggler was the right opponent for Dean, even if only for the much needed Dean Ambrose character development

Ambrose was fantastic last smackdown and Ziggler had a great showing too

AJ gonna be the guy to take the strap off Ambrose

Still really pissed they broke the club up tho, they were starting to find their groove

The guy who was writing NXT is the head writer of Smackdown. We bout to get our old school wrestling show. It just sucks so much that Gallows and Anderson are still on Raw :francis:

They need to attack Stephanie and get fired from Raw :ohhh:.
I think Cesaro is the biggest miss. I got NO idea why they don't have him on Smackdown. shyt makes zero logical sense.

Ziggler should demand a trade after he loses at Summerslam. Problem solved

They just gave up on him breh. You see how they use him now and it's clear that they don't see him as anything more than a really good midcard guy. He's a great wrestler, but he's very bad on the mic. I don't think Vince buys him as a 'larger than life' presence.

Which is why he should be on Smackdown, if there's still life in Ziggler the same could be done for Cesaro
