We straight 09 Cavs status over here. I got one superstar MVP who is surrounded by shyt. I keep bringing in talent but at the end of the day they end up turning into shyt and my MVP gotta carry us. We look nice on paper but when my star leaves we gonna be at the bottom of the league :to:. She been with me for years but if I can't get her a ring soon she gonna bounce.

sounds like you suffering from the same problem that the cavs had. you may be bringing in, "talent", but are they complimentary talent or are they the kind of talent that can be 1A to your #1?? every team needs two or superstars, breh. nobody does it alone.

Moved the franchise from Detroit to NYC to give us a better chance at flourishing. My star player (most versatile player I've draft yet) was still in her rookie contract. Like any star, you go through your ups and downs, a lot has to do with them knowing they're a star. Trade demands were made, and even asked to be released. There have been nagging injuries that has kept her out of key games for weeks at a time.

Now that the rookie contract is expiring, she wants a albert pujols max contract type deal. 10+ years. And I'm on my Chicago Bears shyt (matt forte) I'm not willing to give it. So I released her a fEw weeks back.
Team wasn't ever gonna win the ship' with her, that's what I've always realized so It's necessary.

It's free agent season in nyc. Plenty of high caliber players around,so my team won't be in the pits for long. I'm attending a few player work outs this weekend. Had 1 already.......she didn't fit the direction the team was going in, so she won't be getting a call back.

We've all had that one star we were attached to but just didn't have the intangibles to take us to the championship. You had to do what you had to do, didn't want to be stuck with a bad contract and no cap space:ehh: New York is known for having some blue chip prospects so you should do fine in the rebuilding process

Signed a free agent to a short term deal. Things are going smooth and we are winning a lot of games right now. She has the potential to get a max contract and be the face of the franchise for the foreseeable future. She is all about the team and even recruits complimentary talent :shaq:

They were solid on their previous teams then they come to my squad and fall off. Been in talks with this young PG fresh outta college but she got that AI mentality, and gonna come in trying to run shyt. I told her ass everything runs through my franchise player, so she gonna have to get hers when she can because I can't afford problems in the locker room. Don't think she feeling my team tho, so I'm about to shut down negotiations.

Oh well, if my franchise leaves then I'm blowing this bytch up and cutting everybody. We starting over with all young gunners fresh outta high school and college and hopefully stumble on the next Kobe.

I have a very solid team here in the nation's capital. We've made it to the playoff 5 consecutive years, but only once have we made it past the 1st round. :smh: That's not going to cut it, I've been a winner all of my life. There's simply no chemistry here and my players don't have a winning attitude. With that being sad, I will be moving my franchise and taking my talents down to Texas in a few months. I have one of my 2007-08 starter signed and ready to go. I also have a coming out of her prime, ex league MVP that I tried to sign years ago but wasn't able to sign in the area.

I have, probably one of the best talents I've came across in Louisiana. About 3 hours away, but I think with the right nurturing and coaching, she could definitely get me to my first championship ring :win: not 1, not 2, not 3......

2 star players. I win no matter who plays and who's on the bench. There are some vets that used to get playing time but now they can't get off the bench. They still ask for time but I have to stick with the winning formula.

Man since alot of girl have just graduated high school, ive been looking to draft straight into the pros. I know alot of headaches and growing pains come with having a talent so young and used to getting their way in high school. But its always good to draft young and mold players into the future. Got this bad one right now, fresh 18 year old. Be sending me naked flicks and all. So young, so freaky :noah:

I recently got back from a trip to check on an old prospect down in ATL. Had crazy potential in HS but after several years of poor coaching and random pickup games, their starting to age a bit. I'll check up on em periodically but it's not looking as promising as once before. Local recruiting this off season is bleek these days but I'm sure I can muster up a healthy mixture of reliable veterans who can produce and contribute solid minutes off the bench with 2-3 young guns...

I'll give it about 6-8 months and we'll be ready for training camp :scheme: :obama:

This thread should be constantly bumped/or stickied so we can see everyone's progression over time

:to: My god, it hurts to tell a player that u drafted as a sophomore in college, who didn't even know they had all-star potential, mold them into the beastly player the are, that negotiations won't be needed b/c u won't be bringing them back. So many game winning shots/dunks,but so many bone e head plays as well. She just doesn't fit the system. It hurts, but its what best for the team. Plus, the free agent deadline is months away, :smugfavre: U never know...

But with the pool of talent nyc goes, the run n' shoot offense I'm implementing will have the best possible players that fit the system. My franchises history, and legacy will draw players in with no prob.
