I finally saw "City of God" for the 1st time over the weekend....

HIGHLY HIGHLY overrated.

If you can track it down, Thomas Vinterberg's "The Celebration" is a trip.

It's a Dogma 95 movie, which makes it look low budget as hell, but the performances are dope and the story is

It was violence for the sake of violence.
The acting wasn't great.
The story wasn't great.

If this movie was made with adults, nobody would have given a shyt.
But because it's kids on some Reservoir Dogs shyt, it's supposed to be one of the best movies ever?

i haven't seen elite squad but the 2nd one has been in my queue for a while since its near the bottom of the IMDB top 250.. it'll probably be out of the list by the time i get to it

The 2 Mesrine movies are good.
Carlos: A miniseries (my avi) is good. But I saw the 3-part version. Not the condensed version.
