I'm at a plateau now cause I've been lazy with trimming and detangling. They say when you take care of your hair it looks thicker before it gets longer and I think I'm seeing it because I thought those pics I took wouldve looked worse lol.

I'm trying to get my hair to dread but I have this nagging voice in the back of my head telling me to try and get to my manes full potential

You could always cheat

I have been using crochet braids to enjoy the look of longer 4b hair while protecting my real hair from manipulation and help it grow.

I go back and forth on my hair too but when I tuck it away under crochet braids, I start to miss it's original state.

3 inches of hair is all you need tbh, you'll be more lionesque than a bytch while your hair is protected.


If you just did the big chop and are under 3 inches, then CONGRATULATIONS. And yeah, it is a different thing entirely when you grow it yourself. That accomplishment

the problem is that my hair is in this really short palm twists/rolls with the intent that they dreadlock soon
are box twists possible with dreads?

Yes, Yes YES! I know the perfect video, I'll throw it up here when I find it. If you are determined to go through with locing, loc extensions would be a good option for you too.

I didn't even know Fetty had any! I've only seen him with short hair. Yeah they can be expensive, especially since good ones are done with human hair. I'd be break-dancing for pocket change try to pay for some really good ones. That's why I do may hair on my own.

I think 2Chainz locs are extension low key.
