I was reading reviews on some natural hair website, and I came across this. It made no sense to me but reviews left there made me think I was retarded.

But to answer your question: In a nutshell it states average hair growth is 6 inches a year (1/2 an inch a month). But thats average. You make have more or less growth. It also states the curlier (aka nappier) your hair is the shorter it will look in its natural.
If you are on a "hair journey" it will be your own journey. Period. It will not mirror anyone else's hair, growth pattern, regimen, etc. There are tips and tricks to help you along but you will probably end up borrowing this and that from a bunch of people to find out what works for you. Don't ever give up tho. And do what makes you happy and what makes you feel confident.

I hate that a lot of these natural websites only have three hair types and cater to the least kinky. My hair is technically 3c, but it's a jumbled mess with other textures in there too. shyt is confusing to me.

I had the same problem. i eventually stopped looking at those sites and just accepted that my hair is not apart of that "group" they try to fit peoples textures or curl patterns into. My hair is weird, its wavy and a mix of 3c and 4a but its soft yet really frizzy.
I will spend hours on YT looking at all of these natural hair tutorials and none of them females have hair like me

Some people grow faster. Some people grow slower. The goal is to retain the length you grow.Thanks.
