Great album. Jacquees is great at making 00s vibes R&B
The album should have took him to another level but he didn’t have a big single to get people’s attention
Too much of that Teyena album is sampling old hooks and Medici does trying to cheat her way to a hit

yep. didn't lead with a smash plus the whole "king of r'n'b" wave he was on put people off. arrogance is acceptable when you're breezy or trigga, but when you're 5,3 jacquees only 1 album deep in the game you need to act with a bit of humility

Dude you dissing Teyana for the same thing drake and tory lanz made a living off. Actually most of the songs I like from her are original to me but to say shes not talented is crazy. Maybe you don't like her singing but homegirl and dance and direct her ass off.
Her music is nothing special to me.

i just want great vocals and a fresh perspective in songwriting/content.. enough of the low-fi cursive singing/whispering these artists are doing.. this whole alt-rnb/atmosphric wave is soo stale now. I need more balance w/the subgnres.. not one particular rnb ‘sound’ oversaturating the market
