My impression that I got from it is that... When they finally make the complete edition for all three games... I hope they clean up Rebirth, because it just doesn't feel as polish as Remake.

Animation is awkward, terrain interaction is a hot mess, and audio engineer is fukking embarrassing. You having a scene and random bgm blaring completely ruins atmosphere and mood... Like having your music soundstaged and orchestrated for every scene isn't really optional. If Last of Us had did that. It would get dragged through the dirt.

They brought in a lot more campy anime shyt that kind of bog down the pacing.

Wish Costal Del Sol was entirely optional. Which would of been a great side mission fukkery instead of making it part of the main campaign when you're supposed to have some sense of urgency.

The exploration aspect just wasn't organic enough that made you thrilled to check it out. Chocobo being too slow and too fast in both of its speed move is beyond frustrating.

Just got to North Coral and just so many moments have completely lived to the hype. The odyssey adventure in this game is like no other.

Finished Rebirth tonight. Honestly, remake felt like a prologue and this felt like part 1. Story progress was great and the focus on each of the cast was more rewarding. I did love how in the open world it didn't feel like a slog compared to other open world games.

The game is definitely bloated. Had almost 100 more hours in Rebirth then Remake. Hell I could have put in some more time into it, but I just wanted to move on at this point. Loved the game still.

Whenever part 3 comes out I prob do something like OG FF VII -> CC -> Remake -> Rebirth -> Part 3 since I never played the OG or CC.

It would be dope if they made a FF7 remake trilogy Kai that was just like 80 hours combined

Remake and Rebirth were my first FF games that I actually played till the finish (I remember playing some of the OGs on SNES emulator but never spending much time on them). Took me 4 months to finish both, and I really liked how I could take my time with the game and not feel bored with all the side shyt you can do, specially in Rebirth.

I also read the differences with the OG and agree that the ending in Rebirth is much weaker and clunky but as a newbie to the series I didn't really mind it while I was playing it :manny:
