Man, this game is so massive. I'm a completionist, but this has me throwing in the towel. Once I saw the final side quest requires you to beat 5 annoying, poorly designed battle challenges, I threw in the towel. To anyone who plats this game, I salute you.

I gotta be the last PS5 owner in the Arcadium that still hasn't beaten this. 'm gonna try to just beat the game tomorrow, maybe I'll grind it out to level 70 and go to Gilgamesh Island (threw in the towel on Alexander and Odin)...but I'm ready to move on from this game, I've got so many other titles on the back burner while I play this. I work a full-time job dammit.

Midgardsolom (hard mode) had me on the ropes, Barrett came through with a limit break to save my ass.

Hard Mode bosses are no joke, I hated the fights with the Turks so not looking forward to those.

Ima keep talking to myself. Turks were actually a oneshot whereas the Mythril monster sent me packing like three times.

In Junon now about to whip Roche ass.

Without exploring/sidequesting the game flows quite smoothly :ehh:

Roche was surprisingly easy, Jenova was tough but I got lucky with my limit breaks and ran through her quite quickly as well. She one shotted my entire party once.

Not looking forward to:

Turks/Rufus

Chapter 13/14 gauntlet fights.

Just realized I never maxed my elemental and MP/HP absorption materia, once I get those I'll improve further. I also didn't get any of the Genji stuff yet (though I defeated dude), so might get those before.

Some of those Gengi resources are locked behind hard mode intel bosses, so depending on what chapters you’ve completed, you might have to go back and redo those bosses.

Just landed at TifaCosta Del Sol. I thought the Intel bosses weren't chapter locked?

In my initial playthrough I did all the Intel and sidequests as soon as I could so I never noticed.

They shouldn’t chapter locked if you’ve already beaten the game. You just have to beat those specific bosses on hard mode to get the resource.

Marlboro and Mindflayer are two of them.
