I don't think that's much a spoiler. Every summon boss has a move like this, so one would guess that the final boss would have a similar move.
Nah it's not that it was something else he had in the post but it's edited.
But yeah man, that final boss still has me on the ropes.

I can get him down to this very last attack where he has this black cloud of smoke circling around from both his left and right side. I can't stagger him before that move is over to finish him off.

Yeah I don't think it's possible for me to beat this. There's just no way to adjust my characters before this section without starting all over. They completely bullshytted the final boss.
I took a break for a few weeks right here and just beat him last night (really because i hated that i would have to start at phase 1 again)

I saved Healing Wind for that exact moment and had phoenix as an equipped summon

So healing wind right after he uses that attack that takes you down to 1HP is recoverable, I'm talking the move after he's close to 70% down. THAT move is unblockable and is an instant 1 hit KO. You have to stagger him before he's done with the spinning clouds on both sides in order to stop the attack from even happening.

I see focused thrust helps increase stagger but I don' seem to have that move in my abilities. It's making it impossible to beat him.
The freaking bullshyt from me not having it is because I didn't master the ability.

This fight single handedly is the worst boss fight I've ever played in a FF game. Whoever designed this fight needs their ass beat. No way in hell should you have MULTIPLE phases to a boss fight where you make one final phase so difficult that you can't adjust your build right before the fight.
At least let you bring up the menu right before the final cutscene before you start the fight. Here it's just straight up fukking difficult.

I did not have this much issue fighting the last boss in XVI. This final battle absolutely lowered the game overall in my eyes. Loved it, 9/10 but this last fight is truly bullshyt. They need to patch it and allow you to open the menu before the fight starts. I could excuse almost everything else in the game but THIS is absolutely a negative and I'm the biggest fan of this game.

The GotdamnGotdamn lowkey feels weak as hell in this game compared to the last.
It definitely is by extension of them locking higher level limits behind synergies to increase limit levels. It takes too long to fully power it up.

Even Ribbon feels much weaker compared to the last game as they pick and choose and where it applies. Those white whisperers in Chapter 14 were able to apply debuffs even with it attached.
