This Raq and Unique “relationship” just ain’t it.

Pull the focus from her and let’s see Kanan turn into the beast he really becomes

And the random character coming home from prison is becoming a trope in 50’s shows

- Kanan shows up on Power
- Lamar on BMF
- Diamond on Force
- Unique’s Brother on Kanan
Damn it's almost like the shows focus on characters that could be involved in activities that carry the risk of prison time :ohhh:

Eh they dropped the ball with Kanan. Everything else about the show is very good.

I still think they should have went the route of Kanan already being on Demon Time but Raq is trying to control him.

It’s weird cause I buy everything about how they are developing Jukebox. It feels more natural for the character. Kanan right now seems like something thats been rehashed over and over.
Like I’ve mentioned in the season 1 thread, I think we were expecting Kanan to have a borderline Kenard from The Wire type of personality in his youth (I think they are trying to retroactively show how much he was like Tariq in a way). The trauma is there, but I’m interested to see transition to the psychopath we’ve come to know.

The Burke thing was kind of a swerve, because it seemed like the show was angling Juke to be her apprentice. Some of similarities were there: Lady lovers, estranged relationships with their fathers, mothers are dead, and etc…..But this is Power…when a cop/detective get overzealous…well the outcome is usually unfavorable (word to Greg Knox)
