I dunno why I was expecting some paid in full ish

this is meh and cliche

Kanan finds out his man got killed, jukebox feeling conflicted tells kanan that he last saw his boy enter a car with her dad

The Latino kid with the hot sister gets scared what if im next maybe I should tell the police what I know, Omar Epps finds out and works with kanan mom to set up dude so he ends up getting killed

kanan angry gets a gun and presses jukebox dad, jukebox dad tells him that his mom was behind it the streets needed blood

kanan realizes he can no longer trust his mom

bla bla bla
Jukebox’s pops has the high-top and she saw Wiz getting in both of their rides, but appeared super uneasy seeing him hoping in LuLu’s.

Detective Epps appears to favor and have dealings with Unique. But he could be playing both them against one another on some Stringer Bell shyt. Who knows….

watched the first 2 episodes. I'm confused on how they portraying this younger Kanan. Because I don't see how this kid grows up to be the psychopath we all know.

Leads me to believe he sees his mom die in a horrific way

The 50 you've seen is after years of heavy workouts/roids. He was a chubby nikka coming up, even up to when he dropped The Power of a Dollar.

he don't really look like him, but has the look I would think of

it’s not that far off

I was bored :ld: Kind of feels like the cliche Drug Dealer show except we already know how this one ends. I'll still probably end up finishing it at some point but it just feels Power in the 90s with less compelling characters although I do like Kanans mom and Joey badass character.

Not to mention they doing BMF right after this, just feels like poor timing to have a drug dealing in the 90s show rolling right into another drug dealing in the 90s show

this would have been better had they had an episode a season during the original Power to give us the prequel story mixed in with current Power.

I was thinking this as well, but I will be patient, reserve judgment for now, and allow the prequel to do the build up. To go from being in the Namond/Tariq template to a wise cracking Jason Vorhees, son and cousin killing, smothering old women with Jesus stitched pillows, is a tall order.

To become what he was in Power, He and Jukebox would have to have front row seats and witness the most brutal type of torture and killing of his mother, uncles, and crew. Kanan constant alludes to Jukebox being just as wild as he is.
