Both shows are good and much better than the unrealistic shyt that was the predocessor.nah I like this show better so far
Both shows shyt on the OG Power because both shows are full of believable people. Everybody knows an Uncle Marvin who has good intentions but is a natural fukk up. Everybody has an Uncle Lou in the family or in the hood they grew up in. Every hood has a Raq and a Nique.
Same for Book 2. All those characters are believable.
You don't have to suspend disbelief for Book 2 and 3. Suspension of disbelief was MANDATORY for the OG Power.
I fully expect Tommy's show to be all fukkery. They gotta make his show over the top because you have already had 3 criminal/drug dealer shows.

I agree crime was much higher back then. But that scenario in Power under those circumstances is still rare.
Nobody suspicious of a black teen girl.. You can't be from NY.. There's a reason there was so many unsolved murders.. I can understand if this show was in the south what you're saying.. In NY you went a video rental store.. It was a weed spot.. You went to a pool hall, it was a coke spot.. You went to a restaurant, it was a coke spot.. This shyt only sounds crazy that didn't grow up in NY.
Take away the cameras.. Bring this back to the 90s.. These nikkaz don't get caught

I agree its a little "early" for the year the show is supposed to be.
But, to be fair, we don't really know how much time has passed since the premiere. I think by now they're at least late into 1992. So its not like they're in 1987 sounding like 1994.
