The problem with Zeke being the son is that we know nothing about the backstory of thr Tejada family to even know how it came to fruition. The only family of theirs we’ve seen is Uncle Frank back in season 1.

She took it off because Tariq noticed it on her arm when they were about to sleep together. Stupid on their part to give a college student a Rolex of all things like it wouldn’t stand out
