i usually don't make whole tracks. just sketches.

Sounds like a chorus part to me. If you let that play its really busy, but if you drop the melody to be much more minimal in the background, like just a stab every bar or something. Although I think really the strength is in how strong that medley is, I don't think I'm 100% about the synth. Don't get me wrong it's nice and lush, but it sounds a little out of place in my mind, a little too bright. Some detune might fix that but I'm not sure. It's definitely a lead synth and it does a good job, but in my head I want the rapper to be the lead, so it somehow needs to take the back seat at some point without losing its appeal. You should extend this and include a verse that allows room for a lead vocal. My tip would be to put on a Jay Z acapella and see if it still sits well. My guess prolly not. Only trying to be helpful fam

But is the sample that well known? i have somebody commenting on my soundcloud saying the sample is too famous.
But i never heard it on the radio before and there's only very little information on this song on the internet from "The Delfonics - Start All Over Again".

No, i actually took the Limiter off my Masterchannel in FL Studio.
That's stupid cause when you install FL Studio it starts with that Limiter on the Master which is very bad for the dynamics in your mix. Makes it sound flat.
I actually only have a Reverb on my Master which some people wouldn't do but it works for me.

I use Maximus in FL Studio on my sample to make it that loud.

No, i use Waves C-6 Compressor, Parametric EQ 2, Voxengo Transgainer on my drums.

I would recommend the Voxengo Transgainer on drums to besides compression and eq.

Sometimes I'll send a bus to the JJp drums plug in.

To be honest, i'm not that good at mixing.
I just use presets and tweak them from there.
