and eventually Wendy still handled it and put him safely in the mental facility. And Ruth got him back out on the streets, it's Ruth's fault.

edit: also, Ben was also violent and would have eventually ran across the wrong person and got himself killed. He's the same guy that beat up some worker at that school which led him to running to find Wendy. :mjlol: How people keep blaming Wendy for what was going to eventually happen is beyond me.
Did he not want out of the facility? Whether Ruth did it or not he was eventually going to get out. Its not Ruth fault Wendy let him get close enough to know Cartel dirt

he was going to get himself killed on the streets either way. why would you blame wendy? this is the same guy that threw all those kids phones in that woodchipper and beat up some of construction worker in the first place. that's why he ran to the ozarks to find wendy, he was a mental illness fukk up. and again wendy left him in the mental illness facility where he was safe, anything after that is Ben and Ruth's own fault.

How tf you write a family car accident into the very first episode of the season, only for it to mean NOTHING by the end? nikkas left the scene without a scratch on em
Thats bad writing bruh.
I don't think the accident itself is bad

I think what bothers people the most is that they used it as clickbait and had nikkas making all kind theories and debates over who died:mjlol:

You guys are ridiculous. That was a masterful ending. Great tension in the final 30 minutes. The only thing that would have made it better if it was two gunshots at the end and let people go wild with the theories.
Agreed that shyt was :wow:

I think what bothers people the most about the ending stems back to my earlier post about how nihilistic the show is.

The hate for this ending is reminding me of how furious nikkas was that Marlo made it out the game clean on The Wire:russ: Anything short of Marlo laid out in the streets with a bullet in his head for everything he did was would cause uproar

Look at some of the posts in here. Nikkas would be fine if Marty or Wendy(ESPECIALLY Wendy:mjlol:) died. Instead we see the beginning of yet another ultra rich cac dynasty built on bodies of a dirt poor family

Ruth's death only pours salt in the wound for anybody feeling good about her come up

It's the inverse of the hero story. In a show full of bad people the WORST people won

The karen who played wendy deserves some awards. Amazing performance.

Was an entertaining show tbf and they landed on their feet. One of the worst things is when shows are top 5 goat tier then fukk up the landing. Like boardwalk empire and GoT.

The whole series could be summarised as shyt goes south because [insert character] didn't listen to Marty

Haven't read all this thread, but I love this ending, it's actually how life plays out 9/10, calculated and somewhat ruthless(not evil) people win, anybody saying different is lying. In America, the West, Capitalism, for somebody to win, a good amount people lose to support that lifestyle, there's no participation trophies in life:mjlol:

While Im of the opinion that Wendy wasnt evil, she definitely was the closest thing to evil, the word escapes me, but selfish to no end, a narcissistic to the 10% is better description.....

Really hate how some of the characters stories ended.

Marty never getting out that toxic relationship and ending up the biggest cuck I have ever seen.

Wendy, the woat woman still breathing.

Jonah who had a soul till the last 30 mins of the series ending up just like his parents.

Ruth was the only character I was rooting for. She went through so much loss, finally got some wins in the end but you always knew how it was going to end. Only surprising thing is that Wendy was not the one who snitched on her.

Also the detective gotta be the dumbest man out there, bragging about evidence like you are not holding ashes of a man who got killed by his sister. What did he think he was goi g to accomplish lol? That was just a bad written scene
How did Jonah loose his soul by killing a self-righteous, coke-head crooked cop who
Was about to destroy his family:dwillhuh:

That detective was annoying but he wasn't someone who deserved to die. If his worst qualities are being a coke head and self righteous then he might as well be a saint compared to 90% of the people in Ozark. Jonah was the last family member who didn't agree with how Byrdes were moving and was ready to move out. It was pretty much out of character what he did in the end compared to what he would have done in the past. That whole accident scene and reasoning being so was just lazy writing
