At some point in episodes 7 i said this. I can tell the actor playing Ben was very passionate about this role.

At first i thought his character was the typical charismatic, but also a fukk up, brother. But he has more layers to him than that. And them layers require believable\good acting (he`s been phenomenal) .
You can tell he`s struggling with being bipolar, and he loves Ruth dearly.

He`s like what Daryl was to TWD in the beginning. A character people didn`t think they would love at first but then they really start rooting for them. I think Ruth was the same way.

Lowkey, Ben`s my favorite character this season. :manny:

As someone that was once close with a bipolar dude, some of these scenes were hitting way too close to home. This dude couldn't stay on his meds either, flipped all the way out.

He's dead now. Died in his 40s.

You really know that fool? And he a fakkit in real life? I believe it cause he so damn sassy on the show :deadmanny:

Never had any interactions with dude. Just someone you recognize at school from being friends with girls I guess he was friends with. Like "There go that gay dude..." type knowing someone.:yeshrug:

Sue riding around in Bumblebee :mjlol:

I finally realized where I've seen Sue before the other day.

:laff: what???

Dude! That was one of my favorite commercials when it was airing, so much so that I still say that line to folks "that's not how this works, that's not how any of this works"

I had no idea that was the same actress :pachaha:

It's funny cause she was one of my favorite characters on this season of Ozark. I love it :banderas:

lol this absolutely wasn’t enough

marty basically throwing him his enemy on a platter wasn’t even enough although it sweetened the pot

dude nailed it very accurately when he stated helen overplayed her hand...navarro was still weighing things out...who he was leaning toward is anyone’s guess but taking everything into consideration helen had to go...she took things too personal and was thinking primarily of herself...the byrd's showed they were thinking of themselves as well as navarro...the forged confession was the nail in the coffin

All of yall is wrong.

Navarro never would have even considered it as "only one will remain" if Helen hadn't turned it into that. She went to Navarro and tried to make a play against the Byrds which forced them in turn to contact Navarro and make a defense against what she was planning.

Before that happened, Navarro was never thinking of it as an "either or". He was content with them all peacefully coexisting but look at it this way

Once he saw that Helen wanted them out the picture, plus Helen's ambition (trying to take over everything)... she moved too quick too fast. Obviously Navarro didn't fully trust her cause he had her tortured early in the season.

And when she started trying to make power plays that put the spotlight back on her.

Now examine that along with this fact: Navarro was perfectly willing to let the Byrds get killed UNTIL they showed they were useful to him - and useful to him in a HUGE way. Marty was right when he said that the only way they live is to burrow themselves right into the center of Navarro's organization and make themselves indispensable. And thats exactly what they did when they showed Navarro that they could end the war.

And then, once they did that, Navarro knew that Helen would never stop making plays against them because she was blinded by ambition at this point. So because of that, it became an "either or" when it didn't have to be, but it was that now because of Helen. And he had to look at it like... which one was more useful? And obviously that was the Byrds who had just proven their immense worth to him and possibly saved his life and his organization singlehandedly.

I am watching episode 10 right now. Marty's lack of empathy has me :mjlol:

When Wendy is in the bed sobbing and losing it over everything. . between sobs she says. .

Wendy - Do you ever think about the child we lost :sadcam:

Marty - No :beli:

:mjlol: I think he was saying that because Marty is a pragmatist. He knows that going into depression thinking about an unborn baby doesn't help anyone in their situation and will in fact hurt them. He's the one who's very analytical about their situation and he's calculating. He knows what it takes to survive and what will hurt their survival chances. And he's willing to cut out every single thing that hurts his survival chances.

Havent read the thread.
Im on episode 9 now. Im really hoping this comes together. Because the Beb character is almost child like. I know bi-polar people and they are nothing lome this. Im hoping there is a point to this.

you trying to tell me that he doesnt get that him snitching has ni consequences? I just really trying to make sense of this.

I'm not personally familiar w/ anyone who is bipolar but this definitely crossed my mind...dude just seemed to be reverting back to a childlike state

The part about him being totally fine one moment and then bursting into hysterical tears the next moment is very real.

I've seen that with my own eyes.

I’m rewatching season 1 and they mentioned Wendy's brother and his mental health issues in episode 4 when Marty sees Jonah playing with a dead animal.

:ohhh:

I thought they just brought his character out of nowhere.

How do you have time in your life to rewatch a series......Like I would be on to another show lol

I was on summer break from law school at the time, and I was only working part time due to COVID. I graduated now so that’s impossible.

I’m jealous when brehs on here have time in their regularly life to rewatch shows though. Someday.
