needs an award.. So does Wendy for this season..
Laura Linney absolutely killed it this season. I don't see how she's not at the very least nominated for lead actress at the Emmy's. I'm more than comfortable saying she's had the best performance for two seasons now and is the one who carries the show acting-wise.

After this season, I think the Breaking Bad comparisons (which were valid before) can be thrown in the bushes. This show is its own thing in many different ways. We're not having to wait until the end game to see real consequences. Any hubris a main character may start exhibiting gets gunned up and clapped quick. Marty and Wendy are a middle aged couple that got in way over their heads and have to live in constant fear for themselves and their children. There's nothing glamorous or badass about their situation. Marty is not "the one who knocks":mjlol: As much as she wants it, Wendy is not "in the empire business":mjlol:They can't use a big ass magnet or poison a little kids lunchables to get away with the shyt they're in:mjlit:The very last scene of this season was meant to send a very clear message to the Byrdes and it wasn't one of reassurance. It is extremely refreshing to get a brutally honest depiction of something like this as opposed to romanticizing it.

I was a Dr. Sue stan early this season. She was the real MVP:mjlit:She got her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the School of Hard Knocks. She was the only one on the show making money from multiple venues, worry free:blessed: I knew she was official when she pulled up in the miracle whip, same color Bumblebee with the Wesley Snipes guts:wow:

But this is why I don't stan characters anymore. Instant death sentence. She fukked up tryna extort the cartel so she could put a new wing on the house:francis: My only solace is knowing she's still got her practice going, giving marriage counseling in hell to Agent Petty and Russ Langmore:mjcry:

Helen did too much trying to forge documents saying Marty was snitching, I think that's what got her killed. She didn't need to do all that though, she had more than enough leverage against the Byrdes because the cartel just had to whack the brother, they lost Ruth (who is also on deck as their replacement), the son broke into the house and threatened Helen with a shotgun, both Wendy and Marty lied to the cartel about the brother, etc.

Although the Byrde's ability to get the FBI to investigate Navarro's enemy makes them indispensable at the moment, Helen could have parted ways with the Byrde business amicably and moved onto other functions within the cartel. Instead she got greedy and tried to deceive Navarro and that's when she got popped.

To be honest, I hope she is and gets no more screen time

Bish was annoying
Agreed. Honestly anyone they have to hide the truth from is useless. There are enough good characters and plots to go around. Helen’s part would have still be integral without the daughter.

my prediction/hopes for next season
darlene and ruth are gonna try to fukk marty. they are going to have to get rid of one them. ruth prob kills darlene pissing off wyatt bytch ass again. but then again the KC mob may end up after darlene for Frank Jr. marty gives a tip to ruth and ruth comes back to marty idk
Jonah starts to put in some work on his own side missions. we just got a peak that he's nice with the iron. and this can go great for the show or hella corny. but i think it will go well
i think marty is some how still going to fukk navarro over if FBI is still around. Its their only hope to get out of this. obviously it wont go as planned unless next season plans to be the last. other than that idk where the story is headed which is a good thing.... i think

Nah, Helen got merked because Wendy gave Navarro the greenlight when she asked for reassurance that she would be out of any Byrd business plans moving forward.

Ruth was high key an idiot this entire season

I think it's purposeful...it shows her loyalty wavering, especially with Wyatt being over there with the Darlene. She hate's Marty Byrde, but in love with his brother in law and his wife and kids are cool... At the same time Wyatt is fam , the Snell's are "local" and the Byrdes are outsiders to the town. I like the whole "them vs us" that's going on in that aspect.
