Darlene and Wyatt:
Besides the obvious demonic JBO milf shenanigans, somebody gonna have to tell me who n the fucc gave Darlene all this imaginary clout
. She killed the OG. Poppy fields been under construction and just now coming back online. We haven't seen "all these men" who are supposedly working for her in a long time, and the sheriff just switched sides from the Byrde's back to her for no apparent reason. So many times, I felt like somebody should have fed her some heat but they just let her keep waxin' poetic. Wyatt's storyline was trash. They better give that foo' sum'n more to do next season other then buttering them expired biscuits.
Jonah & Charlotte:
Charlotte got potential if they start giving her more responsibilities as alluded to but other than that, their storylines wasn't all that either. And they could have at least let Jonah marinate that virgin meat before she got out of dodge so he stop actin' like a fuccin' weirdo. Let that nikka bust his gun and stop playin' He clearly the shooter Team Byrde need.
Ben:
Ole boy played the hell outta this role, I can't even lie. "It's a damn shame what happened to Flip", but the game is the game. Wasn't feeling his trajectory at 1st but he put the show on his back those last few EPs.
Ruth:
Keep that classic boom-bap heat comin, baby girl
. Such a shame that she bout to have to go through this rebellious stage against her "father" / sensei who taught her everything she know
Marty/Wendy
The power struggle between these 2 just got old and started to drag real fuccin' quick. And they were smaccin' you in the face with it every time another couple was on screen (I.e., the old casino partners - speaking of which, that side of the highway scene
). Once Marty got back from his vacation and got back in his bag, the show got a lot better and I hope the show runners realize that.
Overall, it was a cool season. Not gonna reach and saying it's got a chance to go down Top 5 or anything though
. It's an show that sometimes straddles the line between average and above average with no really big lows (which is good).
