I always thought Palpatine knew of the Jedi Chosen One Prophecy so he wanted Anakin as his apprentice to prevent it from coming true, thus preventing his own destruction. Later, he saw an opportunity to do the same shyt with Luke and had no problem tossing toasted Vader in the bushes.

I don't know if he necessarily believed in the prophecy...otherwise he could've just killed Anakin.

To be honest I think he just wanted Anakin because of his high midichlorian count. The Sith always want the strongest apprentice possible.

He wanted to do the same shyt to Anakin that was done to Grogu?

They opened the door wide open with this series. Maybe we will see Sam Jackson come back and train Reva.
Maybe, that'll happen in her mini-series.

This Obi-Wan show was meant to be a limited series. These 6 episodes are supposed to be it (however, that could change in the future).

Yup. We all know how bad Finn was. I was optimistic about Reva at first, but they dropped the ball hard at the end here. Just makes me so frustrated, given how much shyt Moses got, and now they just add extra fuel to the hate by fukking up the writing.

I feel for her. As they’ve thrown her to the wolves. Have her looking like a dummy out here with that ending.

She is an amazing actress in the Queens Gambit, but they severely under-utilised her here. Her dialogue and delivery was bad, made her look amateur.

I’ll also thrown in O'Shea Jackson with a nothing role. Breh barely did anything.

Palps keeps Vader around because he knows getting toasted weakened him. This makes him less of a threat to Palps, as the rule of 2's purpose is for the apprentice to level up and take out the master, which Vader would never be able to do.

Even in his current state Vader is powerful as hell unless it's Luke who would replace him, he has also committed atrocities even if he wanted to leave where would he go?

Or maybe he interpreted the Prophecy in the most logical way:
Bringing balances to the force = putting the Dark Side in power in order to make up for thousands of years of the Light Side in power.

That's not how the Jedi interpreted the Prophecy, but it makes just as much sense.

Did Palatine actually know about Luke AND Leia the whole time? Is he blocking Vader from sending them just to mess with his mind?

No, he didn’t know about the kids until Luke’s name was known after blowing up the Death Star, and Vader figured out Luke had a sister

Palpatine covered it imo. He told him to pretty much not let his mind be clouded by Obi-Wan and focus on task at hand. Wouldnt be surprised if he knew about Padmae being pregnant back in revenge of the sith

Padme being pregnant wasn’t a secret, and she was even made up to look pregnant during her funeral ride
