North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
This show has been a disappointment.

Primarily due to incorporating Princess Leia into the main plot. She’s been kidnapped twice, but you know there are no real stakes since you know her, Luke and Obi all live long lives.

At this point, they need to move on from all of the old characters and stories.

I think that comment about his brother is laying the groundwork for post Luke Jedis.

The burden of the family name and such writes itself but also allows for force ghost Obi-Wan.

What easter egg was that?

Think he's referring to Vader using the force to stop that ship the same way Starkiller did in TFU...

Easter egg? sure it could be but I think its more these writers have zero creativity and are stealing shyt from video games to compensate...

Episode 4 was literally ripped from another video game Fallen Order...Mind you Cal is Disney canon and had used that same passage like 2 years earlier before that episode takes place...The idea that passage wouldn't be sealed off now is mind-numbingly stupid, the Empire wasn't that fukking incompetent...
Well the first was obviously Vader using the force on the ship.

The second is when Obi-Wan was looking at the collected lightsabers. Apparently Starkiller lightsaber was in there, or at least on that really resembles it. So thats two things that could be considered a Starkiller “Easter egg” in this episode.

i noticed in this episode while they did the "bunch of people stuck in a bunker" type scene for the 3rd or 4th time, that Star Wars is essentially like 5 things done over and over again. i was waiting for the Last Jedi crystal foxes to save them

Had a lot of similarities with The Last Jedi tbh.. Obi Wan running an iso offense.. everyone standing around to see what he's gonna do.

Vader being scary as fucc is saving the show. it should have been a 2-hour movie though.

Dude, you’re nitpicking hard as hell.

1.) They Disney canon constantly draws inspiration and material for the Expanded Universe. Why are you UPSET that Vader pulled a Starkiller? It was fukking awesome and shows how powerful he is.

2.) What you see as “ripped” from the Jedi Fallen Order game, I see as air-tight continuity, Marvel Studios-style. It also given that it’s a massive fortress there’s probably a ton of water hallways.

If you don’t like all these Star Wars stories playing off eachother, you better hop off the train now man, cause that’s the standard at this point.

No you're just caping hard as hell...The difference between me and you is, I'm an actual fan of the franchise who desires QUALITY, not QUANTITY. I have no issue with SW stories playing off each other, my issue is clearly with lazy low effort non-sensical writing...I'm not content with consuming shyt half assed product and won't put on a cape for Disney...

1) How does calling out the writers clear lack of creativity equal I was UPSET with Vader pulling a Starkiller?

Clearly you missed this post...

Best episode of the season...

That one Vader scene they stole from a video game (Force Unleashed) where he uses the force to pull the ship down was fuego...

2) How is this continuity you speak of logical when Cal literally used the same method of infiltration on the same fukking base years before Obi-Wan did it? How is calling this out nitpicking? The "impenetrable" Inquisitor fortress can't close off underwater entrances they've been infiltrated through before? Are you seriously going to put on a cape here for Disney and argue the Empire is that incompetent? :what:

They knew he was coming and let him in. Reva bugs Lola before she is officially informed that Obi-Wan is there and you're right, it was way too easy for Obi to get in and get out.

Exact same thing as Vader does to Leia in ANH, and Leia calls it out "it was too easy, they let us escape".

Just like Vader "let Obi-Wan get away" in episode 3 only to be irate and almost kill one of his Inquisitors for "letting Obi-Wan get away" in episode 4...

Stop caping for garbage lazy writing...

Nah that was garbo and I agree, I was hoping episode 4 would somehow explain that shyt. Even Hayden has hinted that he doesn't buy it.

Not caping for the fortress though, we see it happen...
