Having said that, show really needs to close with two absolute bangers. This should have been a lay up for them and they’re really making it so much harder then it has to be. It’s like Disney has a rule against hiring competent writers for Star Wars. At this point it seems like Filoni and Favreau are the only two who can do a decent job with it.

The rogue one show does look piff tho.

I just never like how they portrayed Anikan in the prequels. And in addition to his betrayal, they basically skipped over most of his life before he turned.

Most people were intrigued with the sequels because of Anikan before he turned. But Lucas decided to focus on goobly gop nonsense. But back then, it was all about trilogies. They skipped over the clone wars.. it just wasn't that good. Anakins turn to the darkside should've been roasting a turkey and making a big christmas dinner.

Instead we got microwave dinners and heated leftovers.

Nah, it's just lazy/terrible writing. They could have explored his turn some more. Either by cutting out some stuff in the movie or making a 4th film.

WTF were they doing? I love Star Wars, but again, it’s always been a balance of cool concepts, poor execution and cool moments that make you forget about the last two things I mentioned.

That twirling has a meaning to it breh. Anakin and Obi Wan use two different styles of lightsaber combat but theyve trained their whole lives together. When two swordsman know each others moveset like that theyll stall for time or try to find an unorthodox opening using those sword twirls. Its also a way of being flashy. So they basically were both trying to see where they would leave themselves open but couldn't find that spot for a few seconds hence all the spinning and then finally clashing at the same spot. Its a subtle way of placing emphasis on how well they know each other, like true brothers. Notice how now that Obi Wan doesnt even know who Anakin is anymore as Vader, he couldnt block any of his strikes that well. He changed his form up and its been ten years since they last sparred, with Kenobi not even training in that time frame. The saber fights are well done its the writing thats kinda iffy

why isn't vader or 3rd sister able to sense that leia is force sensitive?? furthermore, why isn't vader able to sense that's his own daughter they out here torturing? one of the WOAT deadbeat dads ever

Same reason he didn't know Luke was his son until he found out his last name was Skywalker.

The force isn't a DNA test and he thought his kid (he didn't even know he had twins) was dead.


The only thing the force ccan do is tell you that another person is force sensitive...won't tell you if they're related to you.

There are always going to be holes in this thing if you look for them. Some are egregious such as the whole sequel trilogy...yuck...But for most of the little things I just look at it like Carl told Frank Grimes when he was wondering how Homer was in charge of safety at the nuclear plant:

"It's best just to not think about it"

I'll give you that. I think the issue for a lot of people is Kathleen Kennedy saying Star Wars is about persistent storytelling now immediately before releasing a series that is REALLY stretching previously established story details.

-What was the point of going on a wild goose chase in the stronghold, if you already put a tracker on Leia. In fact, why not just put one her at the end of episode 3 to begin with if you already were suspicious of her being align with rebels.
-How do two rebel ships come into Fortress Iquisitorius without the empire even being aware of there presence? The fortress not being guarded by a shield is one thing but no radar or tie fighters scanning the area? They dont need defenses because of fear? Lol
-Stormtroopers keep getting bodied on the regular , and so easily. (Maybe thats not a complaint but just funny )

Im not really sold on Reva just yet. I know she is suppose to be annoying, but im confused when she is suppose to come off as intimidating. Its like shes trying a bit too hard. If she truly is written like that on purpose then its no problem so ill save my judgement when its over. Will her knowing Anakin is Vader ever be explained?

I know Disney is capable of making good Star Wars content (The Mandolorian for example) but this episode felt so bad. And waiting for them to tie it all up in the last episodes is getting so cliche now. I know most of these plot holes wont be explained.

Bro… do they not have security cameras in that fortress? That’s what was bugging me the whole time.

Also why does a probe droid need to be sent to look for Obi Wan? Storm Troopers don’t have daily meetings where they discuss who’s new on the wanted list or share photos of people to look out for if he’s Vader’s most wanted Jedi?

Show is full of holes like all of Star Wars, but like I said before, it’s par for the course.

Did you watch the ep? Reva did try to read her mind and failed, she even told Leia "you're strong". I actually didn't mind that scene.

I re watched the episode and must have missed that scene the first time. Wouldnt that be a red flag for Reva by this point that this child is force sensitive? If I was Reva and a little girl just shrugged off my mind reading tricks Id feel super washed

The new trilogy fukked up my idea of what is even possible with the force
