Nah hold on Vader styling on Obi Wan is kinda fire, mans was disappointed his former mentor and now rival, the man he waited 10 years to fight and kill was a shell of himself

The fact a minute before that fire he put out the first fire by using the force makes that scene even more puzzling...
Vader is NOT scared of fire, so I'd like to believe he let Obi be saved to track down who he's hiding (Luke) but these writers clearly aren't bright enough to pull something like that off...These are the same writers that had Reva forget she can read minds when questioning Owen...
Vader was clearly toying with Obi though, he called him weak and pathetic, so I do feel like he let him go...That also should be a clear indicator Obi did not whoop the Grand Inquisitor like Reva claimed...If this was written by a team with actual talent, that would be bad news for Reva...

Disney could learn from Vince Gilligan and Better Call Saul for how you create suspense even when the fate of main characters is known.
