Juice vs YOSHI-HASHI
What is Juice supposed to be? A bluesy bouncer? Gaijin Yujiro? I guess YOSHI-HASHI has a 3 in his knee pad because that's the number he's gonna hear at the end of every of his matches. It was OK. They engaged the crowd, at least.
SANADA vs Yano
The RainFaker, Kazuchika SANADA, had some dope gear. Usual Yano shenanigans, I've seen this match dozens of times.
Goto vs KENTA
"Return to the original KENTA", lol, right. Already broken. Far from the hard hitting affair I expected. This match was the perfect analogy to Goto's career: Small glimpses of hope between lots of suffering for him, and, at the end, he gets nothing. Given the match-up, thought we were going to get a Shibata cameo. He probably isn't even in the country.
EVIL vs Sabre Jr.
I already had forgotten Togo was in the company. Guess Sabre is the default good guy in this one.
at the announcers angrily humming, given that the crowd can't boo. Milano still can't get over EVIL's betrayal, he went bonkers at the end. Was this the traditional first day upset?
Tanahashi vs Naito
The broken aces going at it. Wonder how many years Tana has left before joining the dads club. Same for Naito's knees. Thought Tana had it with the cloverleaf. IIRC, he defeated Naito once with that. Fantastic match, the best of the night. These two always bring it and this wasn't the exception. Block B is still the weak one unless these two carry the others to classics.
