Its the definition of a retro design. The proportions, window treatment, rear tail lights, front grille, headlight placement, and even the bump on the hood are all extremely similar to the original car.

That's not the point though. This isn't about liking or disliking a design. The design language is pretty clear. Retro means you take most of the old car's design and adapt it to today. The new Z does that.

For the Mustang, that was the '05-'13 model.
